It makes perfect sense. Gosh, that was deep. ^^
I wouldn't call it deep, but hey, we all have different opinions.
And thanks for the comment Numbuh 1362.
Finally, here is the second part for you all to enjoy!
Shortly afterwards we arrived at Arctic Base. Which was good because a storm had begun to encase the continent in a violent blizzard. Since Numbuh 65.3 wanted to be cautious, we parked the S.C.A.M.P.E.R. outside and the five of us began to walk towards the front entrance. We stopped shortly upon seeing a small running figure coming towards us from the entrance. At first no one recognized the figure, but as it got closer, I finally recognized it to be my best friend and second in command Jeff, or Numbuh 600.
N60: Numbuh 600.
N65.3: How do you know it's him Numbuh 60?
N60: Because I'd recognize that silhouette anywhere.
After a minute or so, Jeff finally finished running and stopped where we standing. Catching his breath for about thirty seconds, he then looked up to face our group.
N600: I'm afraid I have terrible news sir.
N60: What is it Numbuh 600?
N600: While you guys were still on your way here, the ship carrying the Code Module was attacked.
N60 and N362: What!?
N600: Well, a teen ninja came from out of nowhere and started to attack the ship according to the report. They had to make an emergency landing.
N362: Are the passangers alright?
N600: Yeah, but the Code Module fell out of the ship and is now lost somewhere in this blizzard.
N65.3: Well we can't do the research we need to do without the Code Module, so I guess we'll just have to wait until the storm dies down to look for it.
N362: Not necessarily Numbuh 65.3.
N65.3: What do you mean sir?
N362: I'll take a risk and go find the Code Module myself.
My eyes widened and panic began to fill up inside of me as I heard those words. Fear was an emotion I rarely ever felt, but when it came to Rachel's safety and protection, that's when fear overtook me. I knew she could defend herself, but no one knows the dangers of the Arctic the way I do, and I know that she could get herself killed if she didn't have any assistance with her. Knowing she was going to be relentless about this, I decided to take action.
N60: No you're not. Not without assistance.
N362: As much as I appreciate your offer Numbuh 60, I'm afraid I'll have to decline. I can do this by myself.
N60: Sir, you may be able to defend yourself, but you don't know the dangers of this continent the way I do. With Polar Bears, blizzards and melting glaciers, it's easy to get yourself hurt, injured, or even killed here without proper assistance.
N362: But I'll have a communicator with me.
N60: And what if you lost that communicator? Then you'd have no one to contact, leaving us to ponder your fate as you wander the continent endlessly. Is that what you want?
A moment of silence was now upon us as she stared at me, shock being somewhat clear to me on her face. After what seemed like forever, she finally let out a sigh, giving me a somewhat irritated look.
N362: Alright. I guess I'll allow you to come with me.
As she said thise words, all I could do was muster up a rare, small smile, to show my gratitude. Seeing this, she flashed me a small smile back, to show she got the message. After wards, I turned my head towards Jeff, ready to give him an order.
N60: Numbuh 600, you're in charge until I return. If we're not back within one hour, send out a search party for us.
N600: Yes sir!
Without saying anything else, I turned my head back to the footpath as Rachel and I began to head into the blizzard. I wasn't sure about her, but I knew prefectly well that a cold, harsh, unbearable quest await us.
To be continued...
Now I might post some more tomorrow morning or after school, I 'll see how energetic I'm feeling. See you guys soon!
