60/362 Thread III

Hello, and welcome to the third thread of the Desk Jockeys. A small, but powerful( and still growing) community of people who support the coupling of Patton Drilovsky/Numbuh 60, and Rachel McKenzie/Numbuh 362.

Anyway, to start off the new thread, I have a new topic discussion for us to dicuss.

When you support a couple, chances are you'd love to see them get together. Of course, most fans fantasise about how that could possibly happen, leading to many fanfics on the subject. That said, here's the question.

How would you like to see Rachel and Patton get together?

I'd see it happening at a MoonBase dance. Rachel has recently realized her feelings for Patton, and wants to confess to him. Patton has been in love with Rachel for a long time, and wants to confess as well. Somewhat bored, Rachel goes over to a quiet place not to far from the ballroom.

Patton follows her, and after having a small conversation, offers his hand to her for a dance, which she willingly accepts. As they dance, Patton begins to tell Rachel about a girl he knows and why he's fallen for her. This makes her sad because she thinks that he's talking about another girl, but doesn't say anything so that he'll be happy.

He then tells her that the girl is her, ultimately confessing. Rachel then confesses afterwards. The two then share a tender moment, before sharing their first kiss.

How do you guys want to see them get together?

I'd say Patton is wanting to tell Rachel he likes her and is making his way to meet her at her office and practicing while walking. Finally he decides how he's gonna do it and reaches the door of her office. Sort of like this:

Numbuh 60 knocks the door and hears his answer.

"Come in." He does so ever so quietly as not to let her know he's nervous.

"Numbuh 362, Sir." He saluted to his leader "May I have a word with you?"

"Of course Numbuh 60 and forget about formalities." Numbuh 362 replied with a smile "How may I help you?"

"Well you see..." Numbuh 60 started to feel really nervous and he suddenly forgot what he had practiced "You see... I have... I have a... A cadet! Yes, a cadet!"

"All right," The blonde nodded "And what's with the cadet?"

"Well, it so happens that this cadet kinda likes another cadet and asked me if I could give him a suggestion about how to confess his feelings for her." The boy started "And well, I told him to be honest but he's afraid of how it might turn out so he's still keeping it all within him."

"So, what do you want me to do?" Asked the girl with a raised eyebrow.

"Just tell me; should I tell him to take the risk?" Patton questioned nervously.

"Absolutely." Rachel assured "If he doesn't do it, how could he ever know how the girl feels about him?"

"And if it was you?" Patton asked suddenly "I mean, if there was a boy -another boy, not me-who told you that he likes you -again just think in some other boy that isn't me-; how would you react?"

"I would say no." Rachel replied standing up and walking to stand a few feet in front of her fellow KND operative.

"No?" Asked the boy astonished "Just like that would you say no?"

"Yes." Rachel nodded walking closer to Patton "Because I would say to that other guy who isn't you that I already like a close friend of mine and one of my best operatives in the organization."

"And who would that be?" Numbuh 60 didn't want to hear the answer but he just needed to do it. Rachel chuckled before giving him a kiss on the cheek.

"The one person who is standind right before me."

Patton stayed there astonished before his mouth turned up into a bright smile.

"Are you serious?" Rachel nodded smiling confidently, Patton took her hands in his "Perfect."

Just as they were about to kiss the alarm sounded. Patton growled making the girl chuckle at his reaction.

"Numbuh 362." Numbuh 86's voice called through the intercom "We need you at the bridge now."

"I guess I've got work to do." Numbuh 362 sighed still not letting go of Nubmuh 60's hand "Mind if I take you with me?"

"Wouldn't prefer it any other way." After saying that Patton took Rachel out of her office and towards the bridge; ready to kill whoever had dared to iterrupt their moment together.

And that would be my drabble of how they would get together. ^^;

I know, you don't have to stay to a story as much as you do your own improvisation. This is something even I have yet to accomplish.

Say Goldie, Numbuh 1362, how do you guys see Rachel and Patton getting together?

Thanks Goldie and #1362; I'm glad you liked the drabble ^^. And I also would like to see the way you imagine them getting toegther.

I'd like to know what their opinons are as well, but seeing's as how Goldie and Numbuh 1362 haven't been here for a few days, I've decided to move this thread along for awhile with a new story concept I want to share.

In the concept, The Common Cold comes to Global Command for an assult. Rachel, Fanny, and Patton however manage to defeat him. But once Rachel begins to cough like crazy, Patton forcefully takes her home, asking her to call him if she needs anything, which she agrees to.

The next morning, Rachel wakes up feelings rather sleepy and dazed with a somewhat high fever. Being relentless, she pushes herself to go to work, silencing both Harvey and Fanny, who are both worried about her condition. After a big announcment at the Convention Center, Rachel is confronted by Patton, who is unsure about her condition. Rachel tries trys to convince him otherwise, but passes out in his arms before she can.

Worried that she might be deathly ill, he rushes her back to the hospital in her home town. The doctors take her in, but find that her fever has only increased to a high level, and want to keep her for the next few days until her fever goes down. After she wakes up, she and Patton begin to talk until visiting hours are over.

Rachel is then kidnapped by a nurse disquised Cree, who takes her back to Father's mansion. It turns out that Father had planned for the Common Cold to infect Rachel with a virus that would make her sick and weak, so that it would be easier for Father to destroy her. Patton senses that something is amiss and rushes back to the hospital to look for clues with the help of Hoagie. Will Patton be able to save his love in time?

Oh, and just as a heads up, I'm about 25% into the new one shot I'm writing. I should have the first few sections up sometime this weekend.
