I mean, seriously.
Every year since we were very young, my parents would take my sisters and I to "Disney on Ice" to see Micky Mouse, all those people, and a mini performance from Disney Classics, like Beauty and the Beast, the Little Mermaid, Snow White and the Seven Dwards, Cinderella, Aladdin, and all that. But this year, that tradition is broken, thanks to High School Musical.
I don't mind performances from modern Disney films like the Pirates of the Caribbean, which was originally born by Walt Disney himself. Heck, I don't even mind the Wizard of OZ performance, regardless of the fact that it's not even Disney.
High School Musical is rapidly taking over Disney!
Sorry to all those HSM fans. This is just my opinion. You can agree or disagree with me all you like. ^^ It's up for discussion.

As much as i like HSM, I think an ice show is a little much. I don't mind the fact it being a stage show, becuse that's what it's supposed to be. A musical, broadway type movie. But an ice show? That's a little too obsessive.

Yes. I completely agree.
In all honesty, I really don't mind it. It's cute, kids love it, and its a Disney Channel success. Still, I think it's way too overrated. It's fun, yeah. But teenagers are almost literally falling in love with Zac Efron (I don't know how that works out), the movie's all people talk about. Even teenagers above 16. It's sick.
I've only got a few things against the movies, but nothing personal, of course. This ice show, however, is getting me closer to actually getting angry at the movie. If the fans didn't make the movie so successful, Disney on Ice would still be Disney on Ice.
I just wish people would stop obsessing over it. If you watch it carefully, you'll realize it's a pretty amateur film compared to all the great, well-made ones out there.

I don't know why I love it, but I'm guessing it's only because of the character Ryan. If he wasn't in the movie, I would of been less obsessed. I'm actually not even as into the movie as I am into the fanfiction, though.

I hope I'm not offending you in any way, shape, or form, Comsie. I truly don't mean to. I guess I'm just a litte upset at the movie; it sort of broke a family tradition. Heh. XD Sad. Well, anyways, do you believe it to be at all overrated? Especially Zac Efron?

I'm personally sick of hearing about it, high school musical this high school musical that, shut up about it already! no offense to fans. ^^; and I'm REALLY seeing them milk it, I've seen the trailers to it so many times I have it memorized. xD and board games? a freaking mc and dance game? the songs are catchy but they're also annoying. O.o and personally I HATE the lead girl no offense but she's an OFFAL actress (no offense to fans.) and I could obviously tell she was lipping a lot cause she messed up. and the second one seemed like a quick rushed sequel for more cash and more advertising. XD

WEll, I agree with some parts.(and no, G.F I wasn't offended, by your words.) They do put out some "werid" merchandise, but the video games(which is kinda like American Idol, beleive it or not) aren't bad. I don't mind the video games, and the board games, and stuff like that, but I kinda mind all the fangirls that are like"OMG I LUUUURV U ZAC U R A GREAT ACTOR! " he's not, you poor, pittiful girls. (haa my friend and I actually "fought" over who had more talent:Drake Bell or Zac Efron. Needless to say who was on which sides? then I was like"Drake's better, he actually writes his own music and can act." and she was like">>he sucks.")
And Vanessa can't act. I agree with that. She famous for HSM and HSM only. Same with Zac, thats the only way they got their fame. While Ashley got hers from acting ever since she as a kid. She started with commericals when she was really young, and then went on shows like The Amanda Show and then did Suite Life, and then did a movie.
The second movie was not quick. It was waaaay better than the first, so don't whine about that. It took a shorter time, because the actors already were "warmed up" with dancing, and didn't have to train like that did for the first movie.
oh, and btw you spelt AWFUL wrong.

Yeah. Note to all those Zac Efron fanatics: Zac Efron is not an amazing actor. Neither is Vanessa Hudgens.

The second movie was not quick. It was waaaay better than the first, so don't whine about that. Here, I have to disagree. I know it's apparent that I loathe HSM with a passion, so I'm obviously biased, but... The sequel sucked. Yes. I saw it. I didn't want to, but that's the price you have to pay when babysitting. Everything that happened I could see coming from a mile away. The lack of originality was sickening. The songs weren't redeeming. At all. I hate to admit it, but at least the songs in the first movie were somewhat catchy. (Annoying and cheesy, but catchy) And the fact that the kid I babysat had watched it for the 50th time since it premiered, knew all the songs, and thought that HSM was the best musical ever created, made me feel even sicker. You can feel free to like HSM 2. But know that you're liking a movie that's milking off a movie that was already terrible to begin with.

(Like I said I'm not trying to offend comsie{jag älskar dej,Vivi}, and sorry for the grammer error, I'm not perfect. T_T)
Anyway yeah, uhhh no offense but the character, the girl character in the movie, she seemed not loyal at all. The kid wanted a scholarship, if he spends "A LITTLE" less time with his friends they should understand since, I mean going to collage could change his life, and he'd been offered one just to donate some extra time to help do a "musical!" that's like a once in a lifetime offer, easy scholarship, yet she STILL dumped him, she dumped him and even if she came back singing it shouldn't excuse the fact she dumped him. also poor Ashly tisdale, her character wanted to win an award, sure she's a snot but then those two take the spotlight away from her, she offered the thing to the main guy, but they without warning cut her out of the play, so the girl could get back together.
I see many flaws in the second one sorry that's just my opinion.
in the first one, sure the songs were cheesy and the story was cheesy but it was simple, I actually liked it, but the second one and the fact they played the moves OVER AND OVER AND OVER turned me off.

You can feel free to like HSM 2. But know that you're liking a movie that's milking off a movie that was already terrible to begin with. I'm going to disagree. It wasn't a terrible movie to begin with. It's the over obsessive fans that turned the movie bad. The plot was a little cheesy, but it's disney. HSM and HSM2 are good movies, they just get too much pubilicity. Well, Sharpay did deserve to not be in the spotlight. It wasn't that they took it away from her purposly. They did it, after she just totally kicked Ryan out of the scene, who basically has no one else, he's a loner.(and a very cute gay boy<3) So they basically did to Sharpay, what she did to Ryan. They play HSM alot? No they don't. It's not played alot, just when it is played they do lil hsm marathons.

They play HSM alot? No they don't. Yes. Yes they do. They'll find any excuse to play that movie. "It's Christmas time! Even though High School Musical has nothing to do with the holidays, and the second movie takes place in the summer, we're showing it every weekend!" "OH, we're airing a NEW incredibly crappy Disney Channel Original Movie that involves a little bit of music! To celebrate, we're airing High School Musical 1 +2 on Friday, Saturday, AND Sunday! Because, you know, High School Musical is that awesome!!" "It's our 100th showing of High School musical! We're going to celebrate by showing High School Musical again! Yay!"

Here, it's never on. Never NOyl really special occassions. Like on thanksgiving pop up weekend, and when it premeried. It's never on. They only play the movie on a non special ocassion, if it's like a suitelife marathon or something.
In conclusion, they don't play it alot.

The heck does that mean?
I was exaggerating, but yeah, they do play it a lot. Not every weekend, mind you. But especially during the premieres, they'll show it a gazillion times. They have to show the sing along version, then the version with useless pop-up information, then the dance along, etc. Not to mention they'll bring up High School Musical in their commercials.
And then there's the whole merchandise (I saw fuggin' High School Musical socks. Socks), and the concerts. (Pay money to hear the High School Musical cast sing songs you've already heard a billion times for free!)
I swear, some day in the future, in the dictionary definition for "Overkill", it'll say "See: High School Musical"

It was a typo i didn't know i did. I had no sleep when i wrote that.
HSM SOCKS? Yaaaaaay ^_____^ I want some.(iseriously told my mom if they had hsm underwear in my size i'd wear it.)
Ehh, the pop up is slightly fun because of the Ryan hat count.
I dont think i'd goto the concert. I'm more into the hsm fandom than the actually movie it self. Though i own the movie,(and hopefully getting the second one) I usually only want it because of the special feautres. If it werent for that, then I wouldnt want it. I can see the plain old move anytime.
in the HSM ff placeamajig, i'm only in HSM slash. Thats it. If Ryan weren't in the movie, there'd be a slim chance i'd watch it.
