Well, we don't have VISUAL proof... ...but there's a scene in INTERVIEWS where... Grown-up Hoagie gets emotional, and starts crying and hugging the nearest person, Kuki. Wally asks him to go hug his own wife, and Hoagie says to Kuki "Hey, you're not Abby!" Or so we hear. I haven't seen it yet, y'know.

That's the only thing that puzzles me. Why didn't they give some evidence of them liking each other as kids in INTERVIEWS. I think it was too brief. They should've expanded on it. Hopefully, if they make that spin-off movie they spoke about, they will. If not, oh well. They're canon anyways.

Well, they could have. But there were plenty of small hints in the various episodes we've discussed endlessly on the previous 12 threads.
(I realize that interpreting those little scenes is wide open, but why would the writing crew put them there? Seems to me like they were clues for the fans to catch on to.)

Yeah, that's true. I suppose when you look at scenes like from COUCH and PARTY, it all adds together.

Yep, although the 2/5 moments aren't as obvious as the 3/4 moments, and they don't appear just as often, for anyone who likes the couple there was enough proof during the show before INTERVIEWS.

I certainly saw enough proof, but I'm a 2/5 fanatic to the end. Plus, I kind of like how they left it open; it lets you imagine how it happened. On that note... www.fanfiction.net/s/3987295/1/This is what happens when I get my hands on spoilers and am in a 2/5 mood. Implied 1/362, too.

Power of the imagination, I assume, Dreamer. Speaking of imagination, some... background details about Hoagie and Abby might play quite perfectly into my overall reflections about this Sector V duo. It might also be the case for Wally and Kuki, even more so for Nigel and Rachel.

Nice fanfic, Dreamer! Awoo! School just started and I'm almost done on my 2/5 oneshot... watch out for it! Actually, I wrote it during class hours... I mean it! Well, I have this habit of writing stuff when I get bored... and I just juiced up the perfect thing that soon led to my fanfic... inspired by our Biology teacher who, surprisingly, cracks bad puns like Hoagie does ;D... See ya Samurais tomorrow! I have to finish it...
I just can't get over with the fact that 2/5 is canon... Hangover! Awoo!

Very well, numbuh1017. Personally speaking, I remember having an initial idea of just a 2/5 and 60/86 fanfiction... that eventually incorporated 1/362, 4/3, and even 35/23 right around its middle. It was called "Smokescreens, Dogs, and Rainbows," and it ran to seven chapters, if I recall correctly. As that last part might have hinted, I'm a sort of "big picture" type of shipper, which might prove quite appropriate for a show like Codename: Kids Next Door.

@ Dreamer I read it (and commented, if you haven't already seen,) but I looked at it again, and I noticed something a bit off... Did Hoagie give just his goggles, or both his goggles and his hat? Because when Abby gives him her hat, and he puts it on, his hair sticks out from under it. Little nitpick. Sorry.

@cag (can I call you that?): It's okay, I like it when people nitpick. XD Anyway. I kinda.... yeah, I kind of forgot about his other hat and didn't actually realize it until I had it up and I didn't feel like going back to edit it. If you want, you can just pretend he gave her the hat too. >>;;

Okay, then. Sounds good. And I'm completely fine with CAG. It makes typing much easier. (I love your signature, by the way... Holes is one of my favorite books in the world.)

Heh, thanks. It's easier for me. ^^ Also, I guess I've just always associated Numbuh 2's goggles with him and kind of forgot about his little cap. Ah, well, maybe he wasn't wearing it either when he went to find Numbuh 5... (stop making excuses for being lazy, already!) And I don't know why I wrote it... Just from the spoilers, I figured Hoagie and Abby needed their own closure as kids. (Thanks. I love the song so much, it's awesome.)

While I can think of enough reasons how the two could've got together, I was still surprised to hear it had actually happened, the main reason being that there was already one canon couple within Sector V. I really like how the hints were shown throughout the series though. Very subtle and often humourous, and we didn't know it would become canon. And I think this was a great way to go about it, since it totally contrasts with the way they showed 3/4 (well, that was humourous too but in a more romantic way). However, since they had their memories wiped anyway there didn't need to be a huge amount of evidence during the show. When they got together they didn't have any of their childhood memories (I'm assuming, from what I've heard). DreamerAww, that was really well-written and very heart-warming, I enjoyed reading it a lot! Oh, and sorry for my long absense from FanFiction - I've been neglecting my C2 responsibilities for... over a year now. Yowch.

I was pretty surprised, too, when I found out 2/5 was actually canon, probably because I always assumed that in the end, 3/4 would become canon (Shocker!) and then the entire thing with Abby would be left for everyone to figure out themselves. (Just to avoid upset 1/5, 2/5, 4/5, 5/Heinrich, etc. shippers.)
@ Googol Yes, there had to be a lot of evidence, EVEN if they lost their memories... Or else it'd be stupid and pointless, like pairing Hoagie with that Amish girl (Rebecca, was it?) or putting Abby with Numbuh 1 Love or saying that Neville Longbottom married Hannah Abbott.
