Back to the animals thing for a tick. I remember this slightly bizarre RP we did on our old forum where dust spread by mythology text books was turning everyone into mythological creatures. Kinda like GRADUATES, but we all could still talk and stuff. Someone made Hoagie turn into a Pegasus-like creature, which I deemed appropriate. I can't remember what we were going to do with Abby, but I think Kuki was gonna be a kitsune and Wally was gonna be a valkyrie. ;D If Hoagie wasn't a hippo, I'd say he'd probably have a flight-capable form, considering his obsession with everything airborne. Something goofy and silly and non-predatory, though, like a bat or a parrot. Let's try not to think about Hoagie and Abby as a pairing in this state. It can be a little squicky.

(laughing nervously) Actually, Romantist Caveman, I think my mind is already far ahead of having Hoagie and Abby turn into animals. That said, I'd like to think that their thoughts would prove invaluable in, say, figuring a specific puzzle around something. How much more invaluable could their thoughts be as they and their friends end up confronting a group of villains who might be ruthless enough to make Grandfather look nice?

A valkyrie is an armored horseback-riding warrior woman in norse mythology, Star. I think we decided that Wally switching genders/cross-dressing would make good comedy. ;D
I'd say Hoagie and Abby's usefulness against a villain bigger and badder than Grandfather depends on exactly what they're facing. I mean, what exactly did you have in mind, Angelocas? What's a greater evil than turning all life on the planet into evil-minded zombies? I love talking about good villains, ya know.

I'm glad you asked that question, Romantist Caveman. The post-Grandfather villains I have in mind might be dangerous in ways that Father and Grandfather themselves were not. They're existential... and geopolitical. They speak of "death to America" and the ascension of a one-world caliphate. To prove their point, they crashed airplanes into North America's tallest twin skyscrapers almost seven years ago, and they've massacred many who stood in their way ever since. Perhaps the best part? These villains think they're the good guys for imposing their agenda, whereas the Kids Next Door are the bad guys for opposing said agenda. If I recall, Hoagie and Abby first stumbled across some of them in "Smokescreens, Dogs, and Rainbows", more specifically, a smuggling network of Yipper Cards and Rainbow Monkeys. I've had both of these kids be eager to help Nigel and Rachel take down these dishonorable thugs a few times ever since. At the moment, though, they might chuckle if, say, Kuki jumps onto Wally after seeing a spider crawling nearby.

The greatest evil of all is one who threatens to jeopardize people, places and freedom. But that's just in my opinion. ^^

Ah, yes. I've settled around calling these post-Grandfather villains "international jihadists". They stand for submission, the absolute opposite of freedom, as starsapphire2 indicated. Hoagie and Abby didn't immediately realize just how sinister and dangerous the Party of Allah or Asadullah Hassan Al-Saud could be, but doubtlessly, they were eager to stand by their comrades in the Kids Next Door once they actually did. This shall also be the case against the Federation for American-Islamic Relations. I seriously doubt that Hoagie and Abby will enjoy intentional deception by anyone.

Just out of curiosity--what are jihadists? I see that word in your sig a lot.

I am very glad you asked that question, starsapphire2. "International jihadist" is my term for, in all practical purposes, the existential enemy of freedom in the 21st century. These jihadists, people like Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Osama bin Laden, and Yusuf Al-Qaradawi and organizations like the Guardians of the Islamic Revolution, the Base of Jihad, the Party of Allah, and the Moro Islamic Liberation Front, speak of bringing death to America and its allies and imposing a global empire ruled by the Sharia and enforced with fists of steel. In my fanfictions, I have the characters use the phrase "Sacred Strugglers", which should be a perfect combination inspired by "holy war" and "struggle". If Hoagie and Abby can also be serious in addition to typically having fun, then they might definitely enjoy pounding the crud out of these soulless dogs, just as they approved of Wally and Kuki's discovery of that Muslim Brothers' Society memo. Perhaps once they're done, they'll have a lot of fun either going bicycling or playing basketball.

Nothing special, but it does involve 2/5 officallyness. ;D And let's all wish MHG a happy 38th birthday!! She's a gihugic fan of 2/5, and just loves Numbuh 2 so much. XD

Hoagie and Abby's hats, fellow Samurai? If I am to consider Madame Hoagie's Gal the "lead Samurai" around here, then I will enjoy pondering, if briefly, what Hoagie and Abby might think about their respective caps. Abby has used her cap to slap Hoagie several times for a bad joke, while Hoagie has piloted several Kids Next Door vehicles using that cap. Talk about quite the setup, but how much more eager might Hoagie and Abby be to either go bicycling -- or play basketball?

(clearing throat) Very well, Madame Hoagie's Gal. Perhaps you will especially enjoy thinking of Hoagie and Abby as a couple for this day. I will be content to think of these two as freely adventurous but also capable of being serious when they need to be. Now, what to have Hoagie and Abby do under my imagination's guidance for today: basketball or bicycling?
