@finding out you're a 1/Lizzie fan Sector E, and seeing you on the 'last post' of the 1/Lizzie thread a couple times.  (...I don't go to Sector E much, though. I used to be a member there but I gave up on it. Oh, boy. To think that I might have been somewhat more hesitant to support Hoagie/Abby at first... given the first Codename: Kids Next Door fanfiction idea I ever[/u] typed. Yes, Hoagie Gilligan and Abby Lincoln I ended up considering a fun and funny couple, if also adventurously knowledgeable, as "Smokescreens, Dogs, and Rainbows" demonstrated.

Well, you just gotta love this couple (That is if you don't prefer to pair these two with anyone else); I think they might be one of the most interesting couples in the show considering that, even after they get together, I imagine them treating each other as friends more than lovers. Sure, mushy moments from time to time, no doubt, but I'm sure these two won't change much once they are an official couple.

That, delitelia, might be precisely why Hoagie and Abby would, say, tease Wally and Kuki if ever came back from somewhere during a Sector V camping trip in which those two took quite a long time to find food. Fortunately, though, I trust that Hoagie and Abby themselves will be fine simply being friends in the Kids Next Door.

And I didn't know you went to Sector E! It was that avatar that gave me away, huh? Anyways, back to the pairings. here's an AMAZING anime called Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann that has a seven-year jump about 2/3rds of the way through the series. After that jump, you see several of the minor characters have settled down and started families. The pairings are a little surprising, but . . . satisfying, you know what I mean? And their relationships are never thrown in your face, yet they just feel right. That's kinda how I view Hoagie and Abby. Yeah, there was hints throughout the series that they had something for each other, but it was never really shoved down our throats. And when it WAS revealed that they hooked up in INTERVIEWS, it just felt right, you know? Of course, I'm speaking from a 2/5 perspective here, so OF COURSE it felt right. But more so than that. It's hard to explain. It's kinda like what Delitelia said, where you look at them and say "Daww. They probably had a strong, healthy, quiet, stable marriage." |

@sector E Yes, it did. *nods* :3 @2/5 topic It does feel very right! They're fun and opposite together. I think Mr. Warburton made the right choice for having the two hook-up together in the end. Even if there are a couple 1/5 fans that deny that Hoagie and Abby are married, or they just say it was all a dream so Nigel and Abby can be together. ^^;;; (no offence 1/5 fans... there are fanfictions starting out that way, don't deny it. o.o Words of advice: It. Was. Not. A Dream.) But I think Mr. Warburton DID want Hoagie and Abby together! I mean, look at them! Their arguements are funny, they love to tease Wally together, and they're usually paired up in missions together!  I think it's all great. |

To think that I was more hesitant to get into this couple than most of you here would think. If Romantist Caveman and Allie both agree that Hoagie Gilligan and Abby Lincoln are a fun couple to get into, then in retrospect, my thoughts might usually prove somewhat serious for these two. Fortunately, their loyalty to themselves, each other, and their friends should help them carry the day should any existential crisis reveal itself.

Good afternoon to you, Londelle [Abs]... and I see that you joined this forum in generally the same period of time that I did, namely September 2007. Who knew specific dates could be instrumental in shaping my thinking regarding my favorite Codename: Kids Next Door couples? For now, though, if Sector V, say, takes a trip to Hawaii, then Hoagie and Abby should enjoy swimming near the beach there and teasing Wally and Kuki, if possible.

Erm... right. Perhaps as Hoagie and Abby get older, they really will start really hanging out with each other, settling for a romantic friendship between both of them, if not an outright romance. Excellent image by OrionStorm, and the Samurai should look forward to whatever she thinks of next for Hoagie/Abby.

Ah. My mistake, then. Contribute whatever thoughts you have about Hoagie/Abby if you wish, Londelle [Abs]. I might find them informative in relation to my own thoughts about these two. Yet, you might find my ideas a bit more dramatic than what you'd expect out of other Hoagie/Abby shippers here.
