2/5 Discussion Thread

Abby might start to get a little bored, or even depressed. She takes life rather seriously, even if she covers it up with all her jokes. I think it would take a rather casual note at first, like say making sure to visit him whenever she was on moonbase. She might start to spend more time if there were some problems, or something with Cree.

Hmm? Well, if Abby takes life more seriously than Hoagie does, then at least outwardly, she's more laid back, but I suppose that's one reason why they both get along in the way they do, from airplanes to the beach.

Maybe Hoagie becoming a moonbase pilot could be a catalyst for her to become the soopreme commander! Except, of course, they both end up leaving the rest of Sector V behind. Almost seems kinda selfish. See, that's the thing. Their relationship shouldn't hurt the team, it should make it stronger! ;D

Here's another idea: What if after Hoagie gets "replaced" by the better pilot and inventor, he leaves Sector V to go off and search for his missing father? How would Abby feel about that?

I'd like to think that Abby would encourage Hoagie to go look for his missing father should the (former) pilot of Sector V decide to do so. Fortunately, these two might have a way to keep in touch with each other as time wears on, but what could it be...?

E-mails, starsapphire2? If Hoagie and Abby each have laptops -- as I currently have in front of me -- then I trust that they'll be able to keep in touch with each other over time... perhaps with some dry observations by Abby about Hoagie's bad jokes in order to lighten the mood. I, on the other hand, should be fine simply having Hoagie and Abby be Kids Next Door in all of my story ideas.

KND with laptops? Really? I always figured the evil adults hogged all the laptops for themselves and don't trust kids with them. ;D The KND probably has some highly advanced 2x4 technology equivalent. Like an upgraded LUNCHBOCKS. Maybe it's a boring school textbook on the outside . . and a computer on the inside!

Not to keep jumping around topics like a spider monkey, but something I just realized: Numbuh 35 is a moonbase pilot. Which means if Hoagie got a job as a moonbase pilot . . . he'd be in direct competition with Bartie. Jeez, no matter where the poor guy goes there'd be trouble. Let's hope he wouldn't get replaced by a better pilot in Sector V. They'd probably make sure they didn't pick someone with conflicting skills.

If a completely new operative DOES join Sector V after Nigel's departure, how do you think it would affect the team and, more importantly (since this is the 2/5 thread, after all ), Hoagie and Abby's relationship?

Oooh, good one Romantist Caveman! That would probably affect their relationship. What if it was a girl, and Hoagie was non-stop flirting with her? That would make Abby jealous to the bone, I'd bet.

(well, she does seem jealous when he tries to flirt with another girl! Just look and Cree and Numbuh 10! Abby does get jealous when he mentions them ^^)

Not to mention in UNCOOL, when Abby seemed more than a little miffed when she thought Hoagie was talking about the operative Numbuh 78. Hoagie, new girls, and Abby do not mix well. I wonder how she'd try and cover that up if someone asked her about it:

"Numbuh Five's just sick of seein' him actin' like a dork."

Aha. If Abby gets jealous whenever Hoagie flirts with another girl, as I see Romantist Caveman and Allie imagining right now, then perhaps she'll think of something to rein him in so that he'll be hers and hers alone. At the moment, I'm thinking of a face-off between, say, Abby and Fanny over Hoagie... something I recall thinking of during the course of formulating none other than "Wallabee and Kuki": Hoagie and Fanny as Lord and Lady Montague and Heinrich and Abby as Lord and Lady Capulet... or Hoagie and Abby[/b] vs. Patton[/b] and Fanny? Fortunately, the decision on my part is what it is in the end.

Abby and Fanny fighting over Hoagie? I could see that. Not a 2/86 person but I did happen to draw a picture of Numbuhs 5 and 86 death-glaring at each other for Hoagie's love back in 2007. Pretty cool I guess. Just not the type to like 2/86. *shrugs* I muchly prefer 60/86 and Weegee/86. ^.^ ... *record scratch when mentions Weegee/86* What?

And I greatly love 2/5 very much! Oppisites, jealousy, fun, funny, and cooperate well-liking couple!

Aww. Allie, you're makin' me blush. ;D I mean, what can I say? Even though I watch KND more for the world, humor, and characters than I do for the romance, I can't deny that I love Hoagie and Abby together. Second-favorite-pairing in the show without a doubt. So I do my research on the two.

Yay! Another Weegee/86 fan! And all this time I thought I was the only one.

That's how I got into it too! The humor, most of it. Then I fell in love with Numbuh One... And I mean, "actually" fell in love with the dude. Then after a few seasons of the show went by, I decided that he and Rachel make a good couple. ^-^ I absolutely adore them together. But I respect you for being a proud 1/Liz shipper.

Onto 2/5. BUT WAIT-

...Did you happen to see the Weegee/86 picture I drew in my gallery? XD Is that how you became a fan of those two? ... I am honored.
