Apparently it scared little kids. So the ratings went down and Nickelodeon called it quits.
CURSE YOU, NICK! CURSE YOUUUUU!!!!! I am sad.

Well, supposedly it did cost more to make than any of the other Nickelodeon cartoons...Nickelodeon may have gotten tired of paying all that money AND they were supposedly getting into disputes with Jhonen Vasquez (creator of the show).

Never heard about the money issue either.
Anyhoo, I loved Invader Zim! I cried when they cancelled it!!
But I remember someone telling me that Cartoon Network was thinking of putting Zim on Adult Swim... *prays that what she heard is true*

I don't really think Cartoon Network would put a Nickelodeon show on their channel. Would be quite a kick in the pants if they did.
OTOH, the show is out on DVD now, so does it really NEED to play on TV?
Personally I thought the show was okay but never really got into it, even though I heard people raving about how good it was.

i hope they put zim on adult swim to They won't (and by the way, it's spelled "too" in this case). For two reasons. 1) Why should Zim be on Adult Swim?! Adult Swim is where Cartoon Network puts all their programming that has more blood, swearing, or sexual content than normal (i.e. animé with fewer cuts than they would have if it were aired in the afternoon). You know, the stuff they can't show during the afternoon. Why should Invader Zim be there?! It's rated Y7! If Cartoon Network did air it, it would make much more sense to air it with the rest of their "normal" programming. 2) For it to air on Adult Swim, Cartoon Network would have to gain the rights. And they won't. Why? Nickelodeon owns the rights, and Nickelodeon almost never releases rights of shows they own to any other network. So, in short, Invader Zim has an EXTREMELY low chance of airing on Cartoon Network, and even less of on Adult Swim.

Yeah, I dunno. Invader Zim's okay, I guess. I mean I used to watch it when I had nothing else to watch or to do. And yeah, Nickelodeon tends to hang on to rights to shows, unlike Cartoon Network. Did anyone else notice that Kids WB and CN share A LOT of shows?! Scooby Doo, KND, um...Teen Titans, Pokemon,Yu-Gi-Oh!, uh...Jackie Chan Adventures, and......That's all I can think of right now. ;D
