Raw on Monday was meh. The DX and Austin segments were funny, but the rest of the show just didn't seem to have any direction. What we did get are some new matches for Survivor Series.
Forgot to mention, Batista and Undertaker will have a rematch in Hell in a Cell. Now Batista's Cyber Sunday win makes sense. Just so long as Taker goes over this time.
There will be a traditional SS match with HHH, the Hardyz, Rey, & Kane vs. Umaga, Kennedy, MVP, Finlay, & Big Daddy V. The faces aren't quite the dream team they were last year, but 3/5 of that has returned. I actually wish Matt and MVP were on the same team, since they are tag champs, even though they are feuding. This way, MVP would be the only heel on a team of faces, which would create friction in the weeks leading up, and would culminate in him pulling a Bad News Brown in the match and walking out on his teammates. That's called emotional, effective storytelling.
Hornswoggle vs. Great Khali. Yep.
After Miz cost Morrison his match against Punk on ECW, they will be in a Triple Threat for the title. I was kind of hoping they'd be involved in another traditional match (I would've done Punk, Balls, Chuck Palumbo, Hardcore Holly & Cody Rhodes vs. Morrison, Miz, Kenny Dykstra, & WGTT). I'll be disappointed if there's only one team match this year.
EDIT: Chris Masters was released today. It was just a matter of time, but I wasn't expecting it to be THAT quick. I'm guessing he either tested again and failed again, or threw some huge fit over failing his last one. Now I'll lose hours of sleep knowing that his feud with Chuck Palumbo will never have a proper blowoff.

Masters is gone? Sounds good to me, especially his Master Lock is no longer applied. So far, the most funniest match I ever seen is Hornswoggle VS Great Khali, definitely Khali wins easily in a matter of 2 minutes or less.

^ Um, what does the Master Lock "no longer being applied" makes it good, and what's it got to do with his release?

Since the last time his Master Lock challenge was broken by Lashley last time, now I may not need to see him do another challenge again. After all, that challenge is hard for anyone to break it.

Another match added to Survivor Series: traditional SS match with Divas. Mickie, Maria, Torrie, Kelly, & Michelle vs. Beth, Victoria, Layla, Melina, & Jillian.
Rumor has it Carlito may be on his way out. He was just jobbed out in his home country of Puerto Rico and all his merchandise is on clearance at wwe.com. It's a shame really. He was one of the guys I was hoping would be a big star by 2008-09. It was probably his complaining leading up to Wrestlemania that did him in. He was subsequently depushed, which made him even more unhappy.
Booker T, meanwhile, debuted at Genesis on Sunday. Also, former WWE wrestler Johnny "The Bull" Stamboli debuted with a horror gimmick called Crimson Blood. It's a horrible name but an awesome look. I just wish he used the name he used in the indies, REDRUM. Looks like he'll be part of the Mitchell/Mesias/Black Reign stable (is Raven a member or not?). Meanwhile the Turning Point poster has Mesias on it, so it looks like he'll be coming back soon.
Y and J now appear in the SAVE_US video, as well as BREAK_THE_WALLS. As in, Walls of Jericho? Also I saw NEXT_MONDAY, which is the day after Survivor Series.

Some important happenings:
We have new Smackdown Tag Champs tonight. Miz and Morrison beat Hardy and MVP. Twice, actually, as MVP immediately used his rematch clause, but they still lost when Morrison made Hardy tap. MVP immediately turned on Matt and beat him down and destroyed his knee. Now they're clear to feud for the US Title again.
Another match has been added to SS: Cade & Murdoch will defend their tag titles against Hardcore Holly & Cody Rhodes, who beat Londrick and the Highlanders in a Triple Threat #1 Contenders Match on Heat. I would've rather had a Triple Threat with the other 2 teams for the titles at SS, but oh well. The match is on wwe.com, though I've already given away the result. Also, be forewarned: the commentary team is Grisham and Coach.

Hmm, not much of a night to me when I see that. Traitors are everywhere!

Survivor Series 2007:
Punk retains the ECW title in the Triple Threat. The heels mostly cooperated until the end. Once they were distracted with each other, Punk hits the GTS on Miz and gets the pin.
Faces win the 10-Diva tag. Apparently it was a regular tag, not a Survivor Series match, because Mickie gets the win after pinning Melina.
Cade & Murdoch beat Rhodes & Holly to retain. Murdoch reverses a move on Rhodes to get the win. Good. I didn't want Holly getting slingshotted over Londrick or the Highlanders, who have actually feuded with the champs. Holly walks out on Rhodes after the match.
Matt Hardy will not be wrestling tonight due to the "injuries" he suffered at the hands of MVP. That match is next. Hey, how can Umaga be the captain of Team Heel if he doesn't speak English?
Kane is the first to be eliminated by Big Daddy V. Umaga Samoan Spikes Mysterio and eliminates him. Jeff is able to eliminate MVP. HHH next eliminates Kennedy, and does the same to Big Daddy V. He next hits the Pedigree on Finlay to narrow it down to Umaga. Jeff Swantons him and gets the final pinfall, after being down 2 on 5, they eliminate all 5 opponents. Nice action, though a bit disjointed at times, and somewhat self-aggrandizing on Hunter's part.
Shaq is in attendance. Vince talks to Hornswoggle, mentioning how he was an underdog against WCW and the US Government.
Hornswoggle vs. Khali is a no-contest (Khali wins by DQ?) when Finlay runs out and attacks Khali with the shillelagh. Are we setting up a Finlay face turn?
WWE Title Match: HBK gets Orton in the Sharpshooter, being the 10-year anniversary of the Screwjob and all. Orton reverses into a chinlock, then they go at it some more. Michaels fakes Sweet Chin Music, then gets a rollup for 2 instead. He then locks in a Crossface, and tries some other submissions. In the end, Orton hits the RKO to retain. After the match, Orton tries to beat Michaels down, but he hits Sweet Chin Music.
Hell in a Cell: Taker brutalizes Batista with the Cell walls and a steel chair. Batista is coughing up blood. They battle back and forth, Taker tries to use a triangle choke. Chokeslam gets a 2-count. Batista spinebuster gets 2, he gets a table, and Batista Bombs him through it. Only 2. Taker gets 2 with a Tombstone. Blood is pouring down his face. He hits another Tombstone, this one on the ring steps. Edge runs in and nails Taker with a camera. Conchairto on Taker with a chair and the steps. Edge pulls an unconscious Batista onto an unconscious Taker to make the champ retain.
Not a great show, but not a terrible one, either. Would've liked to see Taker get this one. Why couldn't Batista feud with Edge in non-title land? They won't be feuding for the title for a while either, as this will surely set up a Taker/Edge feud. Only bad match was the Divas, and Hornswoggle/Khali was a waste of time, but might set up something important with Finlay, whose relationship with the Little Bastard was forgotten entirely these past few months. Like most of WWE this year, it could've been better.

Edge's appearance would have been more a surprise (to fans that don't regularly surf the internet) if promos didn't spoil it by featuring Edge in Survivor Series' title...

I was thinking that too. My best guess is, they did it for the same reason they sometimes spoil Smackdown title changes on ECW: if people know something like that is going to happen, they will be more likely to tune in and buy the ppv.
Speaking of comebacks, yes, Jericho made his tonight. He wore a weird but awesome shiny rainbow vest, and he has crappy rap-rock music, but otherwise, he is vintage Jericho. Him saluting the fans was a truly emotional moment. I'd maybe like to see him win the Rumble and take on Orton at Mania. Give it to HHH sometime later. He just had a one-night run. Jericho, meanwhile, hasn't been champ since 2002. Time to remedy that.
Also tonight, we got further evidence of a Finlay face turn. He made fun of Vince, and beat down Carlito helping Hornswoggle get the win (word is, Carlito gave his notice this weekend. Guess we'll find out soon). Unfortunately, with Edge likely feuding with Taker, there aren't any other worthwhile heels to challenge Batista. Not a good time to make that move.

Oh yeah, Y2J shows up after all this time he has been gone. Anyway, if Edge feuds with the Undertaker, he is going to be dead just like how Kane haunted him plus the Deadman haunts Randy Orton last time.

Although I knew Chris Jericho would return, I still marked out like a 12 year old fanboy.
