Hmm, the match kind of... 1. Cool, with Stone Cold as ref, it really turns out very well. 2. No good, with Orton DQs, there's no fun. I hate matches end up in DQs. 3. Alright! The Punk got the Miz down, yeehaa. 4. Yay! The King of Kings rules again. 5. No good! Countout sucks too. 6. No comment for Kennedy's match. 7. Alright! Rey won! 8. No comment for Diva contest. Thanks, WBTC.

Crappy PPV was crappy. I guess I shouldn't be surprised. Undertaker jobs to the freakin' Batista, and no title changed hands, two of which had stupid finishes. *sigh*

Well, not much of a night either. At least the 4th match is worth it.

Ultimately, they want to groom HHH to win back the title, it seems, so I wasn't expecting any title changes. Also, Vince is said to want long title reigns for now. Herein lies the problem: that made sense back when there were only 4 ppv's each year, so the belt did mean something, and it was all the more special that this could be the time our beloved face loses the belt, or the hated heel goes down, and changes on TV were sudden surprises. During the Attitude Era, title changes were more frequent, which lessened the value of the belts, but the monthly ppv's had an "anything can happen" feel to them. Each ppv, and each show, was anyone's guess. Now we have long stranglehold reigns, and with monthly ppv's, the end result is more often than not in the bag. It's just a bad combination of logic here. Fortunately, this was in between No Mercy, which was a return to Attitude booking of sorts, and Survivor Series, which is usually one of the better ppv's each year, even in WWE's down years.
Raw tonight:
We start off with a Diva Costume Battle Royal. They all look hot except Victoria, who comes out in an oversized sumo costume. Diva hijinks ensue with Kelly Kelly getting the surprise win, last tossing out Victoria and Torrie Wilson. Immediately after, Beth Phoenix comes out and beats her down.
HBK cuts a promo on Orton and demands a rematch since he technically won. Vince comes out and gives an emotional counter-promo, and grants his request, meaning we won't have a bland tag main event at SS. HBK goes for Sweet Chin Music, but deliberately stops short and makes Vince fall on his ass.
Hardcore Holly & Cody Rhodes beat WGTT. After the match, Holly glares at Cody, and they have a staredown.
They tease dissention between Cade & Murdoch when Mickie comes over and thanks Murdoch for saving her from Cade's clothesline the previous week, which of course led to Murdoch being hit and pinned and costing them the match. Cade comes over and questions Murdoch's commitment to the team and the titles. Don't break these guys up. They're not my first choice for tag champs, but they are a team with chemistry nonetheless, and the tag ranks need to be strenthened, not weakened. Plus, I can't see either of them as a face (I know Cade was a face upon his debut a long time ago, but still). And where's Cade's cowboy hat been these last few weeks?
Another viral promo, including the phrases UPON_US, 2ND_ COMING, SAVE_US_X29, etc.
Hornswoggle vs. Coach. Foley is the guest ref, and helps 'Swoggle get the win, giving him a mini-Mr. Socko to use on Coach's nuts. Jamie Noble can take solace in knowing he's not the only guy to lose to a leprechaun anymore.
Lance Cade beats Paul London in singles action. No dissention between the champs this time, though Kendrick takes Murdoch out on the outside. The Highlanders come ringside to send a message to C&M, but do so by beating down L&K. I'd say make this a Triple Threat, but seeing as how Survivor Series is all about teams, I'd get one more team in there and make it 4 on 4. With the Highlanders as tweeners, it's difficult to place them on a particular side. Since Matt Hardy will likely be doing something with MVP, I can't put teh Hardyz with L&K. Maybe put Londrick with the Highlanders against Cade, Murdoch, and WGTT.
Jeff Hardy & DH Smith beat Mr. Kennedy & Carlito. Smith has eschewed his father's Rue Brittania theme and Union Jack/Canadian flag tights for generic music and red trunks. He played the Ricky Morton in distress role tonight, so he didn't get to show what he can do. Still, overall a good match.
Santino cuts another promo on Austin, and is "interrupted" by "Austin" (himself) admitting that Santino is the better actor. Afterwards, Maria comes down and informs him that Austin will be there for real next week.
Eve wins the Diva Search. I liked Lena the best, but Eve was my second choice, even before it got narrowed down. Her celebration is interrupted by another Matrixy vignette.
HHH vs. Orton & Umaga gets underway, and before long, it's a beatdown. HBK comes out to make the save, drawing the DQ in the process. Vince is watching backstage, and just to make sure the meaningless main event isn't at SS, he announces it for next week. So we have Austin, DX, and no Cena lined up next week. Sounds good to me.

Your guess is as good as mine. He was in Philadelphia last night for his book signing, which was where Raw was held, so we had another night of disappointment. Also, his interviews alternate between confirming and disproving a comeback, so he may string us along a while longer. ECW tonight: The whole show had a Halloween theme, complete with dressed-up entranceway and fog machines under the ring enveloping the outside in smoke. Nicely done. Elijah Burke beat Jimmy Wang Yang. Decent match, between two underrated talent. ECW's TV contract got extended another year, so I don't know how much longer the Smackdown talent exchange will last. Nunzio, dressed as Dracula, takes some kids trick or treating backstage. Balls and Punk give the kids candy, then the Boogeyman shows up, scares Nunzio away, and gives the kids worms. Tommy Dreamer beats Nunzio in an Extreme Rules Trick or Treat Match. Nunzio has the aforementioned Dracula costume, and Dreamer dresses up as I think Joe Torre. The match itself is total debauchery, as weapons are Halloween decorations, a bucketful of apples (the bucket itself was used in a nice spot), and pumpkin pies, leading Dreamer to serve pie a la Doink. John Morrison beats Miz in a #1 Contenders Match. Good match between the two, Morrison gets the win with the corkscrew neckbreaker (he should really give it a Doors themed name. How about The End?). CM Punk beats James Curtis (former Teacher's Pet member KC James). Immediately after, Morrison beats him down. They will wrestle for the title next week. Like Steamboat/Flair, Bret/Shawn, and Angle/Lesnar, I will never tire of this matchup. Mark Henry wins the Monster Mash Battle Royal (or, as I like to call it, the Hoss Bowl). Kane first eliminates Big Daddy V (way to protect your brand's talent, ECW), then Kane and Henry eliminate Khali, and Henry belly to bellies Kane over the top to win. Henry was pretty much the one guy I figured would not win. Silly, but entertaining night. The Halloween theme kept it fun. Though probably not as crazy as in 1985: www.wrestlecrap.com/classic2.htmlIn TNA news, some major stars were at the Impact tapings this week. They are: Scott Hall, and the guy who Sting is believed to make his partner at Genesis, Booker T. Also, Junior Fatu has already left, supposedly over money. Meh. He was basically ripping off The Rock with his "Do you smell that?" promos.

Tommy Dreamer beats Nunzio in an Extreme Rules Trick or Treat Match. Nunzio has the aforementioned Dracula costume, and Dreamer dresses up as I think Joe Torre. Nope. Dreamer was dressed as Paul Heyman. ^^ The announcers pretended not to know; it was kinda funny. Yeah, he wanted a raise -- and he was only there for three weeks! Bah. Why can't TNA focus on their own talent? Why keep hiring everyone that leaves the WWE?

lol, Dreamer probably wanted to pay tribute to him, and the announcers were told to bury him and act like they had no idea who he was.
If they expect to compete on a level with WWE, TNA needs to show that they can bring in big-name wrestlers, and that they have comparable levels of talent. AJ Styles, Jay Lethal, Sonjay Dutt, MCMG, etc. are mega talented, but they won't put butts in seats or draw the necessary ratings. If TNA starts taking wrestlers from WWE, eventually they will take fans from WWE as well, and lead to another large-scale competition. Remember, WCW was pretty much a non-factor until they signed Hogan. Then, all of a sudden, fans shifted over in droves.

Wow, RAW is quite long, well, at least is nice to see HBK get to play along for the night. As for Jericho, hmm, it's not going to be easy whether he'll show up or not, I guess the only thing we have to know is, wait and see.

Chris Masters and DH Smith have been suspended for violating the Wellness Policy. Smith got a 30-day suspension, and Masters got a 60-day. One more will get him fired. Masters comes as no surprise to me, but I'm really disappointed in Smith, especially since his father had these same problems that eventually led to his death. Hopefully this serves as a wake-up call that WWE means business, and hopefully they do.

Yeap, that really means business indeed ever since the steroid policy was not enforced yet, now it does since months ago.

Fabulous Moolah passed away. She was probably the greatest women's wrestler ever, or at least the most influential, though I can't say I've seen her during her best years. At least she had a long, healthy life, as I remember WWE celebrating her 90th birthday on TV a few years ago. RIP, Moolah.

Dang...
I wonder if this also means no more Mae Young? Since they almost always appear together.

Sorry for the old Hall of Famers. I fear about Hulk Hogan as well, especially he is also old too.
