well i don't like this couple but i've seen that ther are a lot of fans here so why do you like this couple? :-[

XD Heh. I think 'a lot' is a bit of an exaggeration- there are more 2/5 shippers than 1/5. At least, on this forum there are.
I think my reasons for shipping 1/5 can be summarized into a phrase as simple as in the personal text- life is a multi-chaptered story.
1/5 just seemed to click the moment I saw them together in KND, and my love for the pairing grew from there. I like pairings that take some work to get to, that take some thought. Things that are blatantly shoved into my face just take the fun out of it- I like to figure things out on my own, thank you.
Being a wannabe writer, I also like to think I've got a skill for finding inspiration for writing. 1/5 is definitely a pool of inspiration for me. I will never ship a couple I'm uncomfortable writing for.
The way they interact in the show just hits me in a way others don't. Many describe them as 'the married couple', and I must agree. I think Numbuh 5 wants to (and can, for that matter)help Numbuh 1 become a better person, but at the same time still likes him the way he is. Numbuh 1 depends on 5 a lot and respects her opinion more than the others, I think. While this may not seem like the makings of a romantic relationship, to me it's like the first chapter in their relationship.

The original posters could repost everything here in the 1/5 thread after which I could delete this one but, frankly, why bother? Also, if I can bend the topic of the board here, the reason I don't like 1/5 is this:
It seems like such a shallow interpretation of the multi-layered relationship they might have[1] made to appease an odd sense of symmetry the 1/5 shippers seem to have: They are the 'leaders' and 'cool' and thus must go together. It just seems to lack the quirky slightly absurd air of love.
But the above is merely a rationalization. The true reason is simply the fact that I can't 'see' them together. Squint as I might I still can't see them on, say, a date. I just can't. Friendship, yes, I can see friendship but love? No.
[1] Well seeing this is a short cartoon we can't see much of it on air but that's what fandom's for: to give depth.

If you want me to add another reason why I like 1/5, I will oblige- it reminds me of other couples I'm fond of, like AangxKatara from Avatar: TLA, and even a bit of RobinxRaven, from Teen Titans.
