well even though there arn't as much things going on between 1/5 as there is with 3/4 I am going to hang on to 1/5 because I do see some things that could lead to the couple happening NOT alot of stuff but there is some there. **Agrees with EVERYTHING 291 said** |

i like the sound of 1/5, i don't know if it will actually happen, but hell isn't that what fanfiction is for?!
also i'm not a big fan of 1/lizzy i think it was the whole boyfriend helmate thing that put me off!

Phew this is an old old thread. But since I wasn't there, now it's my time to bring out my opinion. (James knows well that I'm NOT a 1/5 fan)
There is a huge war going on between couples and how people have their views. 3/4 against 1/3 and 1/5 against 2/5.. And so on. It's so annoying. I know debates are wonderful and that it's quite fun *Grins evilly* But I'm gonna say this: If you can't respect my opinion FIRST, I will NOT respect yours BACK. I don't care what it is. Opinions I take very seriously. I have nothing against 1/5. I'm just not a FAN. And if you can't see to it that not everyone will agree with you, then that's wrong. You have opinions about everything. It's what makes the world go round. And then there is that whole thing about being 10.. So what!? We've all had crushes one time or thee other. I know I did when I was 10. But no, it doesn't mean you'll get married when you grow up.

Wow, this thread is old. Mind if I post?
I don't like 1/5, period. But I still do respect 1/5 fans and I admit I do see it happening, thats why I don't like it too much. Ya see, 1/5 is too easy to like. I mean, Abby and Nigel have alot in common, that makes great friends but a pretty boring romantic relationship. I could see them going out for a while when they got older but breaking up later.
I hate when fans can't respect other peoples opinions I mean I saw a review to a fic with 2/5 in it that said something like: "Put 1 and 5 together. Fat and slim are a bad couple." and I thought 'That is so shallow.'
Shallow fans are the reason I'm starting to dislike 3/4 more and more. And that is very bad for me.

The reason I don't really like 1/5 is pretty much for the same reasons Sam stated; and also because how some authors set them up together. I'm tired of repeating how they do that sometimes, so I'll assume you'll know.
I said the above so it'll be on-topic. But yeah, there is a lot of fighting just because lots of people like to pair everyone together. It's fun sometimes but the fun is ripped away when everyone keeps flaming and arguing and starting, provoking or prolasting flamewars over it...
EDIT: And I'm sorry to hear that some of those fans is making you dislike or even hate 3/4, Sam. See, THIS is what happens when crap like this keeps going...

I'm not liking 3/4 much anymore either. I mean, like almost everyone else, I thought it was soo cute. But now it's just annoying. And the flamers give it a bad name.. unfortunately. |

Well, let me start off by giving my opinion on KND romance in general... Well, I won't lie: I'm a hopeless romantic. Heck, that's what kept me addicted to pokemon longer than other people. ;D But even I can get tired of it once in a while, especially when it comes to KND. Sure, when I'm in the right mood, I'll read a pure fluff 3/4 fic. But sometimes, I want something with romance and then some, but those are starting to become scarce at fanfiction.net(unless you can tell me otherwise). And I don't think you should watch a show purely for romance, especially this one. It has so much qualities that I've never really seen in cartoon before: it's silly, but at the same time it has plot. There's more to it than love, though I suppose it doesn't hurt to add some in there.  As for 1/5, well, it's the same with 1/3 and 4/5 for me: I don't see it happening. However, I will read a fanfic featuring those couples, if it's good enough. Especially the ones that's not pure romance: Love/crushes will be there, but it'll take a back seat when duty calls (i.e. Up and Down and Back Again). I'm not completely canon though; I'm currently working on a 2/5 fic(though some may argue that it is canon  ). I'm new here, by the way. Wow, what a first post.^^; |

And the flamers give it a bad name.. unfortunately. actually, i found it pretty annoying intitially. but then, i interacted with quite a few fans before i really settled on my couples. and it's not just the flamers that give it a bad name - there's a lot of cruddy fic and "OMGZ OMGFGZ! 3 + 4 FOReVeRs!!!!112" randomness floating around. i'm actually starting to think that 3/4 is becoming a "newbie" couple - you know, the one everybody loooves itially but either matures right out of it or at least matures and lets it go a little. know what i mean? and to make this post on topic - i don't like 1/5. it bores me. 1/4 and 2/5 are my drugs of choice. mwahah. |

Exactly. Newbie couple can name it perfectly. I mean, you've got these people who can't spell. And I had JUST read this disgusting fanfic about Kuki climbing up a pole and Wally looking up her skirt.. I'm like "How THICK and for that matter, bored, can people be!?" And the author is like "OMG ITS SO HILAIROUSSS!!!1!111" And to get back on topic.. 1/5. Eh. |

I'll just come in and give out my honest opinion, but I don't want to start a flamewar. 1/5-I just don't like this one. As I've said in a few other places, I hardly find any couple amusing or even cute if the two people are too alike, as I would say 1/5 is. End of story. 3/4- Well, honestly, I love this one. But I'm just starting to dislike it. Why? The constant hints are just getting, boring. I mean, I don't mind little hints, but the big hints like hugging, blushing, etc., are just getting old. Then another thing that's pushing this "starting to dislike" thing are some of the fans. I'm not saying all 3/4 fans are like this, but it's just really immature and obnoxious to just flame someone for saying that they thought something other than 3/4 is better. Come on, things like fanart and fanfiction isn't gonna hurt the possiblities for anything in the show. Yet, rabid fans ruin the fun in those things by saying the choice in couple is wrong anyway. I still like this one, but the fandoms are just starting to get out of hand. EDIT: I apologize if I've gone off-topic  |

I don’t like 1/5, but I don’t hate it. I only read 1/5 fics if the plots are good enough or if it’s not pure romance. I respect the people who enjoy this couple, unless they are Lizzie bashers.
I have no respect for Lizzie bashers because they value their favorite couple over anything and they treat her as if she was the blight in their existence. Sure, she is annoying at times, but that’s no reason to treat her like trash. Besides, she does show some comical moments on the show, which is why I like 1/Lizzie because their relationship makes me laugh. And I think it’s cute. But of course, that’s just my opinion.
As for 3/4, I am kinda annoyed with the constant hints they’ve been showing this season, but they're still one of my favorite couples. I just wish the majority of the 3/4 fans weren’t so immature when it comes to writing fics or reviews about them. (The same goes to 1/5.)

My gosh, I cannot agree with you more. Each time I read a 1/5 story, they make her evil! They make her call Numbah 5 a "hussy" or a "vixen" or something like that. And since I didn't see that much episodes, for a moment I thought that was the way it was. Until I saw episodes with her in it. It turns out that she is just a really cute, bubbly character and similar to Numbah 3 in some ways. I also don't like it when they make her get beaten up by Nigel... |

Yeah, I can respect 1/5 fans, but they would have to do these things to gain my full respect.
1. Not bash Lizzie, as it has already been said. Geezus, some people just hate her for no reason at all.
2. And respect other opinions. I hate when people just instantly flame other's about liking this, or that or this or that.
