Eh, who knows. Usually, when a wrestler turns, it's a pretty quick turn, although Edge did win from disqualification (But that doesn't help him from winning the belt). Who knows. But, ya, I would think becoming face would be hard with her rep (Matt Hardy). That was real, I heard. Now, there was a woman who knew how to wrestle though! Edge is more IC champion material, I know. They need the next HHH (Or HBK ;D) to win the belt, they just gotta find him . I can see there are not many wrestling fans on this site huh . Oh well. How long were you a fan for?

I've been watching since towards the end of 1990. The first ppv I ever bought (or more accurately, my parents bought for me) was the 1990 Survivor Series, famous for both the Gobbledygooker and the first ever appearance of the Undertaker. I missed the First Golden Age of the 80's, but went back and saw a lot of it on video. My parents made me quit watching in about 93, when they thought other kids would make fun of me for liking it, but I snuck it in until 95 when Diesel won the title and Mabel got a huge push, which made me lose interest. I picked up again in 98, and have been watching ever since. On Smackdown, there's this great new guy, Ken Kennedy. Have you seen him yet? He reminds me of a young, heel Rock. He'll introduce himself before all his matches. Well, I can't do it justice, but here's a clip of an interview. The picture's bad quality, but just stick with it. This guy's going to be huge. www.youtube.com/w/WWE---Ken-Kennedy%27s-Backstage-Segment-With-Josh-Matthews?v=wIunFZKoq3c&search=Ken%20Kennedy

Ok, that's a little too freaky My 1st pay per view was the 1990 survivor series also (It was pretty much a present). Same year as my 1st live event (Present also, and alot of begging). 2nd one of each wasn't until 97. Thanks for showing me that. It was hillarious ;D. I've seen Ken Kennedy once on TV. I watched Smackdown when it was Christian's last match. Is he back yet? I know he was injured.

He can't get in the ring for 3-4 more months, but he sometimes shows up and does commentary with Cole and Tazz. He's also really good play by play, but I miss him in the ring. Hopefully, he'll get a good push in the US Title picture. I went to live shows in 92 and 03. Do you ever go to www.wrestlecrap.com? It's a site dedicated to the worst characters and angles in pro wrestling history.

"Dusty Rhodes, the WWF Years: An NWA legend becomes Vince McMahon's human joke butt. Gotta love those polka dots!" Uggg! Can't get that image out of my head now I never liked seeing Dusty Rhodes dancing and jiggling in his polka dotted shorts I just knew they were gonna mention Akeem ;D. Thanks for posting that.

Unfortunately, that was my introduction to Dusty too. He was feuding with DiBiase and Savage, my 2 favorites at the time, so that didn't win me any favors with him. The polka dots, and...Gah-Sapphire. Unfortunately, it took me years to learn that he was a damn good wrestler in the old NWA, but that era screwed up my perception of him (although, during his WWF years, I loved his American Dream music).
At first I thought maybe there was a chance you were a member on their forums too, and we may have interacted and not known it, as you seem to have the opinions of a lot of people there.

Maybe I'll join ;D. It'd be cool to join a wrestling only forum. ;D (At least this wrestling site didn't give me a computer virus ).

There's also a pretty good discussion on gtaforums.com. Some of the most knowledgable guys don't post there as much anymore, but it's still better than most wrestling forums where it's just marks with HHH hate and Cena love.
We haven't touched on probably the most controversial subject yet. The wrestling fan's 3/4: Hulk Hogan. I notice there's no middle ground with him. People either love him or hate him. Where do you stand with him? Personally, I'm a Hulkamaniac for life. True, he wasn't that good in the ring, but nobody, with the possible exception of Austin, had the ability to work a crowd like him. Even today, 20 years removed from his prime, he can have 60,000+ fans eating out of his hand. Without him, WWE would probably be just another hole in the wall federation in the Northeast. Guys like Rick Steamboat and Jimmy Snuka were better wrestlers, but there was no way they had the charisma and look needed to be the face of the WWF as it expanded worldwide.

My opinion about Hulk Hogan. Well, he pretty much made wrestling what it is today. He brought alot of fans, merchandise, even the movies. I feel after Hogan left WWF, many followed. I'm sure wrestling wouldn't be the way it is now if he wasn't around. He may have not have been the best technical wrestler, but he had the charisma, the character, and had the fans cheering. I'm a fan. And I'm a fan of 3/4 too ;D
Did you see the Matt Hardy/ Power Ranger video on wrestlecrap? ;D That's great!
It looks like they talk about Grand Theft Auto on that forum- gtaforums.com

By the way, I didn't copy you on the Hogan thing (I just finished reading it now. I read up to the part of my opinion on him). That's pretty much the same speech I've given for awhile. I saw that they had some females on wrestlecrap. That's cool. I don't know any who are into wrestling.

There are some. Actually, if you check out the wrestling section of fanfiction.net (under Misc.), all the writers are girls. And that's not a good thing. That has to be the worst fandom of all. Stories revolve around Cena because "he's hot." Same reason stories revolve around Batista and Orton. In 9 out of 10 fics, the characters don't see a wrestling ring. In a good deal of them, the wrestlers are in HIGH SCHOOL. Rampant Jeff Hardy fangirlism that won't go away, even 3 years after his release. London/Kendrick slash. I thought about writing some fanfics, particularly crossing over many generations of the best wrestlers. The thing is, I don't write matches very well. I can't do Bret Hart vs. Kurt Angle, for example, blow for blow and do it justice.

Hmmm... I can see your point. I never got into it for the hot guys (Heck, who was even hot back then. Not many). For me, it ws pretty much a sport I can get into. You have your favorites and just watch them fight. Sure, it's considered fake, but only to point. All the women I know absolutely hate wrestling. "Stories revolve around Cena because "he's hot."" Since when! ;D
