Jericho has not lost a step. That was one of the best promos in recent memory. It was even better given that his first exchange was with Santino, the best up and coming superstar on Raw. Love the getup, but I'd rather he go back to using the Walls.
If they wanted to get Kennedy over for his feud with HBK by having him squash Brian Kendrick, they should have at least acknowledged that Shawn trained Kendrick. Someone dropped the ball.
If tonight's Hornswoggle segment doesn't secure this whole angle for the Gooker, nothing will.

Tonight's Raw crowd was DEAD. The Carolinas suck whenever Flair's not wrestling (shouldn't he be continuing his angle?). Good show otherwise, though.
Jericho was a little more serious tonight, except talking about the vibrating in his pants, that turned out to be his cell phone. He carried Umaga to a decent showing that ended in a DQ when Orton interfered.
Kennedy's segment was classic. I was actually hoping it would be the return of Marty, and prepared to mark big time during the commercial break. A little disappointing with the imposters, tho. I especially wasn't expecting Razor Ramon since Hall no-showed Turning Point last night.
Markout moment of the night, however, belonged to the APA. JBL back to his old persona, but Simmons could at least get past the "DAMN!" schtick. Anyone else think that's getting old?
So Hogan's coming back next week, after swearing he'd never work with Vince again. Guess he changed his tune now that Linda's taking him to the cleaners and Nick's legal fees will be huge.
As for greatest Raw superstar ever? I saw Booker and Angle in that montage, but they may be brought up just so WWE can shoot on two of TNA's top stars. It'll probably be Vince claiming the title for himself.

Hmm, could be an interesting night. Let's see how it turns out, thanks for the update, WBTC.

Update: Apparently, Carlito will be staying with WWE after all. He and Vince worked something out where Carlito decided to rescind his notice. From what I gather, Vince didn't want to lose yet another big name to TNA, so he talked Carlito into staying. He will have a Ladder Match against Jeff Hardy for the IC title on Monday's 3-hour Raw. I say, give him the title. These two always have good matches, and it would be fun to see the title switch back and forth between them in a feud that can put the belt back on the map as far as relevance.

Hmm, should be fun. And Carlito stays, probably not to forget that feud with Hornswoggle that time.

Man oh man Raw was great tonight. First off, some of the returning Divas looked hot as hell. Sunny got back her body, and I'd take her instantly. Molly looks even better than her last days with the company. Trish and Lita were of course beautiful, too. I even marked for Bastion Booger and Abe Knuckleball Schwartz (a gimmick from late 1994 during the MLB strike, portrayed by Steve "Brooklyn Brawler" Lombardi that lasted all of 2 weeks, even though I'm pretty sure that wasn't the Brawler in the paint, hence HHH's joke).
Great IC Ladder Match. Jeff wins, though this does kind of give away HHH going over at Armageddon. Having Carlito win could've let Jeff move to the next level and give Carlito back some heat, until they feud again, but still a sweet match.
RVD shows up and beats Santino! Nothing fancy, but he shows he's still on good terms with WWE, even though he shot on HHH in a recent interview.
3 words: Gimmick Battle Royal! Participants included Al Snow w/ Head, Bart Gunn (the other guy from Billy's original tag team), The Goon, Gangrel, Bob Backlund (so he's done with TNA now? That means he could be a HOF inductee coming up), IRS, Jim Neidhart, Sgt. Slaughter, Scotty 2 Hotty, Flash Funk, Skinner, Doink (Lawler marked for him, forgetting their feud in 94), Repo Man, Pete Gas of the Mean Street Posse, and Gillberg, who gets tossed out immediately. The match itself was rather quick, and saw IRS toss out Slaughter to win. Ted DiBiase comes down and slips his former tag partner a wad of cash, and IRS throws himself over, with DiBiase becoming the winner. That's classic DiBiase for you, and it makes sense, since he can no longer wrestle. The only thing that would've made me mark out harder would've been the return of Adam Bomb. I would've taken him over Scotty any day of the week.
What the hell was wrong with the crowds? They are pretty much dead for Jericho. During his segment with Bischoff, he got almost no reaction. Wrestling fans are idiots to pop huge for Cena, but give nothing to Y2J. Speaking of Cena, I'm surprised he didn't at least make an appearance even if he is in a sling. I'm no fan of his, but I can't deny the major role he's had on Raw the past few years.
Hornswoggle vs. Great Khali is interrupted by Hogan, who punches down Khali, who flees. Hogan says WWE is the greatest company ever (I guess he's not going to TNA anytime soon), says he loves the fans, and poses with Hornswoggle. Maybe this'll lead to Hogan/Khali at Mania. Hulk's going through some tough crap in his life now, so it was kind of sad knowing he had to force excitement and charisma.
We have new tag champs: Hardcore Holly and Cody Rhodes beat Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch. Meh, Cody's alright, but why give Holly another title? Dusty showed up to put his son over on commentary. Anyway, Marty Jannetty showed up again tonight (see below), so I would've rather seen the Rockers reunite and take the titles.
Kennedy beats Jannetty. Marty can still go, and had some beautiful counters to the Green Bay Plunge. In the end, Kennedy wins with his Complete Shot alternate finisher. Kennedy continues the beatdown until HBK comes out to make the save. HHH comes down with a DX cap and shirt in hand, and I'm ready to mark, thinking Marty will be inducted as a DX member. Alas, he doesn't even get back in the ring, and once again plays the other guy as HBK puts on the DX gear and celebrates.
Greatest Raw Superstar is as expected: Vince names himself, then Foley comes out (as Mankind!) and gives him Mr. Socko. Then Taker comes out and chokeslams him. Austin then comes out, props Vince up, tries to get him to drink, then Stunners him. He says the fans are the greatest superstars, then calls out the entire WWE roster and all the legends to drink together. Some pour their beer on Vince.
F***ing. Awesome. Show. They were missing a few legends (Jimmy Snuka usually does these, and I heard they were getting the Iron Sheik), but bottom line, I was entertained. After Armageddon (which is shaping up to be decent), it will probably be back to humdrum.

It was a great night. Only messed up thing was Cody Rhodes and Hardcore Holly winning the tag team titles. Well, there goes my faith in RAW's tag team division. It was already boring because Cade and Murdoch haven't had any good rivals in a while (where are the Highlanders?), but now it's uber-boring.

Ahh, a great night. Especially when Stone Cold screws the chairman more than the Undertaker and Mick Foley. But too bad that The Rock did not show up, still, I'm sure he's way too busy with his filming career.

Armageddon Results:
Rey Mysterio beats MVP via countout, MVP retains the US Title. MVP dominated most of the match, Rey almost pulls it out in the end. I'd rather Matt Hardy continue chasing him when he comes back (his appendix burst, so he'll be out for a while).
Mark Henry and Big Daddy V beat CM Punk and Kane. V caught Punk off the top and Samoan Dropped him for the pin after a distraction by Striker.
HBK beat Mr. Kennedy. Kennedy dominated mostly, then Shawn pulled out a surprise Sweet Chin Music to get the win.
Jeff Hardy beat HHH to become #1 Contender. HHH played the heel through the match, Jeff got a surprise win. Unfortunately, I still don't think he's ready. Challengers have a bad track record for the Royal Rumble, particularly faces, so if Jeff loses, he may not see another shot for some time. If he's still IC champion, he will have even less of a shot to win. Also, if he does become champion, I dont' think he's got adequate mic skills. He's not Marty Jannetty bad, but nothing spectacular either. I do like him, and maybe I am trying to protect his spot a little too much, but I do want to see him become a contender when the time is right.
Finlay beat Khali. Hornswoggle got in some shots with the shillelagh on Khali's knee, then Finlay gave him some to the head to get the pin.
Jericho beat Orton by DQ when JBL interfered. Y2J was at his most over tonight, and it was a great match until the interference. I was expecting Orton to retain, especially with Jeff winning earlier (Hardy vs. Jericho? I'm sold on that match, tho), so this finish protected Jericho's credibility. Unfortunately, if JBL does return to actively wrestling, that frees up the best commentary spot in the WWE since the days of Bobby "The Brain" Heenan.
Beth retained the Women's Title against Mickie. Not much to report except that Beth is hot and Mickie is overrated.
Edge won the World Title in the Triple Threat, following the distraction by two fake Edges. The title is off Batista again, and all is right with the world once more.
The final match alone made this ppv worth it. This, Jeff/HHH and Orton/Y2J were all really good and Shawn/Kennedy was solid too. Not the greatest ppv ever, but definitely better than past years, where Armageddon hasn't had a title match since longer than I can remember.

Armageddon comment : 1. Aww come on, MVP does really a big coward. He really know how to run away and retain titles as much as like I remember other cowards such as the so called "Wrestling God" JBL who always loses. A god can never lose. 2. No comment. 3. Alright! HBK had cracked his heart. Nice! 4. I'm not sure who would actually win in my mind. But I rather go for Triple H to win actually, he is a tougher buy to resists the Royal Rumble compare to Jeff Hardy. 5. Khali maybe another fearful giant like the Deadman, but with Hornswoggle always around. The tides can be turned. 6. With JBL really want to come back to wrestling and break his "No Wrestling allowed" contract, he is going to get as much boos as Vince McMahon gets. Blast! Hate to see that, I want Y2J to win the title. 7. Hmm, no comment on that. But still, I thought Mickie James can win, but I saw Beth is stronger in one of the previous non-title match. So far, I wish Trish Stratus can join in, but she must have retired as the same as Lita was. 8. Two fake Edges?! I wish the Deadman can get something in his evil hands. But not that bad Edge again! Can't he ever win things fair and square? Still, I wish I could see those so called "2 fake Edges", those really shocks me. Oh well, I'll check back WWE.com first. Overall, I thought it's going to be a good night, but it's more like less than 3 STARS to me. No.

Armageddon was decent, I thought. Only thing that ticked me off was the crappy ending to Rey vs. MVP.

Indeed, it is as bad as the previous Vengeance night. At least Armageddon is way better than Vengeance this year. True, I can't believe some night turned bad. When Vengeance turns out too many enemy wins instead of the heroes, it's as worse as the 2006 World Cup.
