Madalina's eyes grew dark, "Living a little? Doing that at a time like this kind of defeats the purpose of living. Now, let's take a look at our surroundings." she said, and in an instant she was a bat with bright blue eyes, fluttering six feet off the ground, waiting for the others to follow suit.

Calico and Jamie followed suit, and turned to bats."This is way better!" Calico said, giggling. "Walking is so boring!"

"Come on, Rubie, turn into a bat" Madalina said, her voice simply sounding like a bat's squeak if a regular human walked by.
"But what about stuff? Bags here" Rubie said, pointing to their belongings.
Madalina dipped down and scooped up the bag with her bat feet, having the vampire strength to do so. She turned to Jamie, "Grab the shovel, please"

He grabbed the shovel and waited for Rubie to turn into a bat. "it's easy!"

Rubie concentrated and soon she, too was a bat. Rubie's bright blue eyes matched her sister Madalina's, but you could tell them apart from the sole fact that Rubie was a baby bat and smaller.
"Let's go!" Rubie flew in circles, enjoying the wind passing her wings.

Rubie watched as she noticed a few other bats passing by and flew over.
"Stop!" Madalina called after her, "They're not like us!"
Suddenly one of the bats Rubie was chasing after flew next to Calico, Jamie and Madalina, revealing that indeed, it too was a vampire. It's bright green eyes sparkled in the moonlight.
"My name is Raquel." a deep but still womanly voice spoke.

Raquel giggled deeply, "Honey, I'm a woman. You all seem like a bunch of kiddy bats."
"I'll have you know that we're over 100 years old!" Madalina defended them.
"100? Are you serious? Try 500. I'm one of the oldest vampires in this area."
