Wow, I was just reading the spoilers. Judging by the live actors (or maybe just those particular photos of them) they look like they'd be quite a comical, somewhat crazy couple. Then, once again, I think that works just fine. I also read that people thought their marriage wasn't confirmed because they didn't have wedding rings. It made me wonder, but then again that would have made the "You're Not Abby" line a bit pointless. I assume that the reason why they're not wearing wedding rings is because Mr W knew that's what the fans would look for straight away, and up until Hoagie's line he wanted to keep it a surprise for the audience. Kuki and Wally could get away with having wedding rings because I think we all knew that was gonna happen! Besides that, I know plenty of people in real life who are married and don't always wear their wedding rings. Also, that goodbye sketch by Mr W suggests that they are a couple. I know it doesn't have to mean that, but I think it does for the fact that it is the last sketch we actually see.

Actually, the wedding ring theory is a very strong stretch. It's pointing out a minature detail in the costume against a very strong implication in the dialogue. I didn't even notice Kuki and Wally had wedding rings, and I can't really consider the lack that significant.
That said, there were some really nice moments between 1 and 5, and considering they had the illusion of 2 being married to 3 for most of the show, I can see where some people are coming from. But the ring thing... I'm sorry. It's a stretch. I think the implication was that they're married too.

Yeah, at least that's the impression that the age group the show is aimed at will think, which is really what matters. I know there are a lot of people in the fandom who are very good at picking out every little detail (which is why I wondered if they wanted to get the 3/4 fans excited about the wedding rings immediately) but I doubt many young kids would really be looking for this kind of detail.
But since Mr W knows that there's always someone who notices a minor detail, I still believe he enjoys messing with our heads.

I'll bet he does. He's probably watching the forums now just screaming with laughter.
Yeah, in a lot of ways it just doesn't make sense. I mean, when you're making a show, you try to convey certain things to the audience. You keep implications in mind. So, at the very least, when Hoagie says "You're not Abby!" He knew what people would think. It would seem that was what he was trying to convey.

Ummm...
That's kinda under debate at the moment. Most here in this forum would probably say yes, but if you see the 1/5 site, they'll claim the evidence is doubtful. So take your pick.
3/4 definitely are. There's a scene where the adult Hoagie is hugging the adult Kuki, and they're both crying, and finally adult Wally looks up and says, "Hey, hug your OWN wife for a change!" And Hoagie looks up in surprise and says, "You're not Abby!"
That's our evidence right there. There's a pretty strong implication that 2 is married, and most likely to Abby, given his exclamation.
Look through the 1/5 forum as to why they disagree. I'm not going to get into that again.
EDIT: Actually, just look up earlier on this page. We talked about it in the first two posts. And if you really want to know, download the episode. There's a link to it over at KND main

I saw the episode myself just now, and to be honest I didn't actually see Wally wearing a wedding ring. I think Kuki was wearing a ring of some sort, but for all we know it might have just been random jewelry. Either way, no big deal.

Eh, why not, Numbuh Googol? With Hoagie and Abby practically a couple -- by the end of the end of my fanfiction timeline, that is -- this Samurai, Courting Commander, and Panda Warrior dares to say that I'm quite satisfied, if primarily with the result of that fan-based endeavor.

I'd agree. I didn't even see the rings the first time, and the second time I just barely saw Kuki's. So I can't imagine that they were meant to be anything significant. And even if we take that, there's a clear implication that Hoagie is married to SOMEONE (...Your OWN wife instead of mine...), so who is it? Fanny? Cree? Then why does he say Abby? And if Abby isn't married, and still in love with Numbuh 1, are we meant to think that she's been living alone on earth all these years that Nigel's been gone, and now that he's returned, she's maybe going to start again?
It's a stretch on many fronts. But given the great moments between 1 and 5, it's understandable. If there'd been a few great moments between 2 and 5, we might've done the same, regardless of the ending. By the end, with the GKND, most people thought that Hoagie and Kuki were married, and were watching Abby and Nigel discuss leadership. It's understandable why most of them didn't attach much importance to Wally's statement.

True, since there wasn't much in the way of 2/5 hints in the animated part of the episode. Come to think about it, I didn't notice much 3/4 either. So yeah, the confusion is certainly understandable. That 2/3 suggestion at the beginning though was awesome. A classic double twist (after all that 3/4 build-up, Kuki marries someone else!... oh wait, no she doesn't... ;D). They seem to have done a lot of these twisted twists in KND, and Sector CP sure have a talent for it.

I also saw this chapter didn't have a lot of 'romantic' moments between any characters and so the final declarations about the married couples brought you back to think about them while iduring the rest of the chapter you were focused on the mission. But it was nice to see who got to stay with who at least with these four characters.

The double twist was awesome. And yeah, apart from the adult sections, there were no romantic parts at all. They had to know that that was at the back of everyone's mind, and just wanted to tease with us.

I guess that was the plan; I mean, 3/4 marriage was kinda obvious so Kuki mentioned 'her husband' since the beginning but 5/2 wasn't mentioned 'till the end of the episode.
