So, Codename: Kids Next Door has finally ended a few months ago with Operation I.N.T.E.R.V.I.E.W.S. How do you guys feel about it ending?
Personally, I'm a little sad because it was one of my favorite shows and I really liked the story of the KND when I first found out about it, but it may have been a smart move to end it before ideas began to run out and the show would have become stale like other great cartoons out there.
So, what are your guys' thoughts about it ending so soon and do you guys think it was a great way to end the whole series?

Story-wise, so many things are still left unanswered. In INTERVIEWS, we don't even know that the entire story is actually THE TRUTH. "We told him everything he wanted to hear" is kinda what got me into thinking that. So where is Nigel really at? How did he got bald? What did Abby do so that she didn't want to be leader? etc.
Fandom wise, a great way to end the series. I say that because something open-ended is much more fun to carry on and imagine than something that's explained to the minute detail. This is why the fandom still exists.
As for the ideas running out, I'm not sure, but so far no cartoons have ever exceed 6 seasons (I think), possibly according to CN policy. I'm also curious as to how I'll turn out if KND has another season.

You make quite a good point there Numbuh 18A about the Fandom and I guess it's true since it was all the speculation and thoughts of what happens to the KND after Nigel leaves that brought me back to KND.
INTERVIEWS still somewhat disappoints me though a little bit. I sort of expected more. Maybe a little bit more unraveling (just a bit to keep your point) and a little bit more of a better way to get Numbuh 1 into the Galactic KND. When I reached that part, I had my eyebrow raised and thought that the scavenger hunt was a bit random.
But, yes, it was still good. And as for an extra season, it would be great, but still, it's best they stop while the show's at its prime even though I enjoy KND very much.

Speaking of INTERVIEWS, it reminds me of Father changing into a dragon (which I expected to be more epic than it actually is). I was disappointed with Father in the later seasons, to tell you the truth. He became so wimpy he's pathetic. I liked him a lot more in the beginning.

Agreed. When I saw him get "Very Angry!" during Operation ZERO, I was excited to see what he would do to Grandfather, but when he just simply left to get some rocky road, it was quite a bummer. Still, you gotta love Father's lines in that movie! Father was quite the villain.

He was probaly the best villain but he did get less of a threat as the time moved on and not very scary.

He most likely transitioned to a comedic-like character. I don't know, that's just my opinion as for some reason his voice always makes me laugh.

Umm... I don't mean to interrupt. Sorry. Well, for me, it's a really sad ending. I mean, KND is over. And then, Nigel left. It wouldn't be the KND anymore without him. And I'm still curious about Nigel's baldness and more. And last thing, I thought the very last episode of KND would be defeating Father, and all the kids are free from his evil.

^ As I said, some things are not meant to end with the series. I'm not sure if JK Rowling's decision to tie up everything in Harry Potter so neatly is a good thing or a bad thing. It's a very satisfying (albeit very cliched) ending to the epic series, but it leave little room for the fans to imagine. Other than their married life, there's little else that Harry Potter fans can now enjoy, IMO.
I agree that it's sad that it all end and some trivial things are not answered, but I've read fanfics that shows differing author's opinion on those matters. Then I come and discuss it with my fellow forum-mates. Eventually, a set of idea tend to be dominant in the fandom........(hence the popularity of 1/362), but that's what being in the fandom is all about.

I cried after the ending of INTERVIEWS on the day it first aired in America. I cried for Nigel, I cried for his team, I cried that the show had ended. At first, I didn't like the idea of the Galactic Kids Next Door.
But in later Febuary, in school one day--I created my own Galactic character. I felt proud of myself, and... I suddenly realized that the GKND wouldn't be bad afterall! So I connected the pieces together like a puzzle and it was fit in my mind. Maybe, somehow, someway Numbuh 362 went off into deep space to find Numbuh One. Maybe, maybe not. Only Mr. Warburton will be sure. I'm still at the age of my seat, hearing, watching, and waiting for the time to come.
There are still comics, fanart, fanfiction and music videos, guys. Plus the episodes are online. I know some of the videos stopped, but I've decided to take the chance and make my own video. But first I need some episodes to do so. (I only have IT, so...heh)
Also, the fanfictions do not need to follow the plot of INTERVIEWS- remember that! If 1/5 fans want to write about 1/5, you guys go right ahead I wouldn't mind at all. If you want to write an adventure between the team of Sector V, you can always do that! If you want to draw Nigel as a teenager in normal teen clothing--Do it! No one is stopping you from writing, drawing, or working on videos to keep this fandom and forum a legacy!

Me too, on the day I watched. I just can't believe it's over, and the team apart.
Well, I can't decide either of GKND is for the better or not. It's just... I can't see the team shattered, and there's something I can't explain, but it's a special something about the team together that I can't see in GKND. No offense but I don't have an idea for GKND because KND is my one and only.
Oh yeah, totally. Those are my ideas for the upcoming weeks. Thanks, Allie, that brightened up my day. ^^

I think I know what you mean fangirl4315. The ending was very sad even with the part with Numbuhs 1 and 5 and I think one of the reasons why the new Sector V without Nigel would feel empty is that the whole complete team is no longer there and with all these different unique personalities in that specific sector, one of them is now gone and you no longer have that feeling that there's a leader even though Numuh 5 would make a good one since she's second in command.
But then again, we still haven't gotten to know a lot more about the Galactic Kids Next Door, so who knows? It may be the same as Sector V except different characters. (Although, maybe not TOO similar to Sector V such as Numbuh 3 and 4.)

Then the fact that number 5 leaves a dew months later to become sumpreme commander so they would be more empty after that happens and will need the introduction of new members to the team.

Indeed. Also, now that you've brought that up, you begin to wonder if they ever did make an extra season (although I'm pretty sure they won't), it may not be the same without Numbuh 1 and it might just show us the events that occurred leading up to Numbuh 5 becoming supreme leader.
I think I might write my own fan fic now. Hmm...

Yes, I feel that way, bacondude. I mean, they were a great team, they have their personalities, their friendship, their bond, and that's all shattered. It's different already. If one is missing, all is missing. That's what I feel for the team. I always loved Sector V together and I thought their bond will never break, but even if Nigel's gone, at least they'll always be together in their hearts, but I still can't take the team broken. That's the reason why I always take INTERVIEWS as Nigel's dream, not because I want 1/5 to go high, but maybe I do, but because I want the team together. That's what really got me into KND, the bond of the five is so strong, it reminds me of how important friendship is.
