Heh, i was just watching some old America's Got Talent eps, first one with the Glamazons, and apparently, Englishmen go for the "curvier" look.
That explains so much...

Then I'm packin' my bags and going to England, 'cause I'm sure not getting any luck here.
Sorry for my ignorance, but who's Scotto? And where did you find that drawing, Golde?

Scotto Benson is the artist who did that drawing. It's from her website, Critical Punch. She even did the art for a KND section of a CN Action Pack once. Or maybe twice.
Hands down the best KND fanartist ever, though I think she's a 1/5 shipper.
She's also a TOTAL sweetheart. I did a trade with her once, and left her an open invite if she ever had the time and/or inclination for another.

I always figured that Nigel and Lizzie met when she left him a note in his locker asking to meet after school, which he, being Nigel (especially first season Nigel), interpreted as a challenge. So he showed up all ready to fight only to find Lizzie confessing her love, which caught him off guard, so he blurted out "okay" when she asked if they could go out sometime. (And Lizzie, I've always assumed, based all her ideas of how romance should go on old movies and anime, hence the confession after school.)

I've never seen anything to suggest Lizzie even watches anime. And in old movies, the guy generally makes the first move.

I think she meant old movies as in the romance, you know; candle lit dinners, the mysterious man, "secret" letters to meet up at a special place...going to the carnival for a first date is a typical, classic romance move. =)

Pretty much yeah; she does seem to be that kind of girl although she's a little loud sometimes unlike the girls back there.
And that info you found about the English guys, Suki, is very interesting; you're right, that explains so much...

Actually, a lot of the girls back in early-days movies were pushy. Debbie Reynolds did a lot of those. Ginger Rogers didn't take flack in her movies. To be frank, they weren't too different from women today, just without the civil rights and liberties.

Gak! Stop insulting my childhood, you fiends, or I'll... well, I'll do something drastic. Like stop drawing Lizzie with Nigel and put her with... with... with Hoagie.
