I'd write a reasoned answer here but Regan beat me to it. Here's how it goes
1) It has been decided to segregate certain roleplays. You could have argued against when Valerie first posted this but you didn't. We decided to hide the board but that, apparently, doesn't work.
2) The only solution that seems to work is password-protecting the board in question. Do we have consensus in this?

Yea but.. creating a whole new board for that? I'm not sure if this idea has been brought up yet, but I think it would be best and have less hastle about it. Instead of making a whole new board, we could do this: You know those icon's beside the title of the rp? ( Like the thumbs up.. the smile.. the frown etc.) well, there is also one as a explanation point meaning warning. Next to rps that include sexual content could have that sign next to them to show users that if they do not like that sort of thing not to click. And also, there could be a topic stickied to the front page of the RP explainging that to new users.

And while people should be free to write about whatever they want, you also need to bear in mind that the rest of the members here should also be free to visit without being forced to have any of the above pop up in their faces. Very well said. This new board is a good compromise. Listen, I'm well into my 30s, and *I* don't want sex and gore shoved in my face all the time. The mods are trying very hard to be fair to you. So...I wouldn't argue against this. I'd go with the flow. Edit to avoid a double post: Kimsie, While that's a reasonable and very logical argument, there's people who will go on the roleplays anyway, then complain about what they're like. Such is the nature of the internet. Passwords were suggested to avoid nonsense like this.

I'm confused now what people want to do. I'm guessing the URL only board is out, although I think if the thread name contained something with a warning if someone happened to come across it it in the top 15 posts, they could just scroll over it. It's still mostly out of people's way (I myself never use the top 15 most recent anymore), and I don't know if a password only would remove it from the 15 most recent list either. Maybe if we make it a url only password protected board? I'd still prefer not having a password only board viewable to everyone to wonder about.
Edit: I tried a password on the hidden url board, and it does not appear in the top 15. It would be a bit of a hassle, but no one would be able to view it. (Minus staff, I think)

As I understand it there are two such groups. One wants their 15 Most Recent Posts free of 'mature' RPs and the other one would rather if the things stayed the same but can live with a separate board.
I agree with a passworded, hidden board. It's the only practical solution and is (almost) hassle-free for the mature RPers.
Shall we do it like this?

I really do not agree with this whole idea of having a new board for "Mature" roleplayers. It just doesn't make sence I don't think at all.. since if you are 13, you shouldn't be like "OMG.. =OOOOO they kissed! an oh em gee.. OMG!!!" ![x_x](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/dead.png) cause seriously.. why the heck are people reading other people's roleplays anyway?! An no offense but seriously, is it THAT hard to take 2 seconds of your life and click out of it if you don't like it?! If you answered yes to that, that really makes me sad for you.. again if you're that sensitive ~no offense~. Anway, I really do not see a point in the idea, because for one: they have kissing and hugging in DISNEY aka rated G movies! And for two: they have sexual things in PG-13 movies! And guess what? If you sign up here you are supposed to be 13 years old or older, an if you're not, that's your problem not the people who are supposed to be heres! Kinda agree, i don't think they should seperate roleplayers sounds. But people DO read other peoplez rp's cuz' sumtimes they don't know wut's gonna be in e'm, like an rp could be labled "OP f.i.r.e" they wont think it'll be an rp about "matture" stuff so of corse they might read it! And another thing, not only teens watch cartoons, cartoons were invented for little children (mostly) but some teens luv cartoons too. but really people younger than 13 DO like this show, it's also kinda mean to make sure they can't join, not only teens watch KND is that not obvious? My little cousins like it, and they use the internet if they were shoved off a forum for age that'd be mean and rude. ..I rest my case ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png) ~Tashi~

Drat. I had something to say about this, but everyone else beat me to it.
Suffice to say I'm surprised there was any arguement at all. To me it's just, "Doi!" cybering on a Kids Show forum.
Not to mention, people here seem to have the opinion that only Americans will be reading this stuff. Guess what people: People from countries besides America read this forum too, and in some countries its ILLEGAL to read erotic text.

And it's quite noticeable that not everyone on this forum posts things about... it. I do hope this one will be resolved soon.
