We don't really have much anime in our country. (sadly) T___T There's always Youtube. America gets more anime but often only really recent ones, and some of the ones I really want to see are available only in Japan -__-. Stuff like this, this and most especially this are unlikely to ever make it to American shores. Oh yeah, can't forget this one, which obviously would never get a proper American DVD release because (A) its too old and (B) it doesn't deal with giant robots, magical girls, or collectible monsters. American anime fans really don't even know the full length and bredth of what anime IS. Okay, thanks for letting me rant (and I hope I've piqued people's interests in shows they might not have heard of--I'll admit, I was surprised to see someone had fansubbed that last one).

Wallflower? I read that one! I only read the first two volumes, thouh, then went back to buy the third (I'd borrowed the first two from a friend who moved away), and I couldn't remember the title. I need to go look for that, next time I'm in a book store. I think there are 9 by now. A lot of the first ones are repetative. One of the few times I like the anime better (and I read the books first). Though I haven't read the ninth yet. Anime is really good, too. Youtube has all the subs. 8 is my personal favorite.

Another great anime site is www.vita-anime.com, though they have a lot of server and bandwidth problems, so not all episodes work all the time.

I'll make sure to look for it. ^_^ I haven't gotten any new manga or anime in a while. I'm borrowing the dvd of X (by Clamp) from a friend of mine. Recently watched Pani Poni Dash..pretty funny one. ...All right, I'll take a long shot. Anybody else a fan of the Nerima Diakon Brothers? It's an anime that references the Blues Brothers. Musical anime...as a total anime and musical addict, it's like a dream come true for me.

I've been trying to find some new manga to read (I read fast, so that's always a problem). I found a really cool site reviewing a ton of shoujo, but all the ones I want to read aren't available in America. T-T

*Sigh* Youtube constantly reminds me of anime I want to see but can't (yet, anyway). In particular, a point of interest for me has been anime adaptions of English literature, such as: Kaiketsu Zorro -- The only thing that bothers me, just from seeing the intro, is that Zorro looks way too much like Tuxedo Mask. Outside of that, this looks pretty decent. Captain Future -- This show drives me insane. You could say this was one of my first exposures to anime--through an advertisement on a VHS tape (funny how I've never seen an episode yet I have the English version of the theme song memorized). I've been wanting to see it, but only eight episodes are available in English and they're elusive. This series is based on a series of Pulp Magazines (these were a common medium before the Paperback book was invented and were really kinda cool) by Edmond Hamilton... and yeah, those are elusive too -__-. Earlier today, someone showed me an intro to a Robin Hood anime (this is the Italian version--the Japanese version sucks so I'm showing you this one). This one looks... promising. Finally, earlier I began watching Peter Pan no Bouken which so far seems to be an interesting and partly unusual take on the story, AND its fansubbed (it's also one of the few anime that distinctly lacks the "big eyes" treatment). Too bad I don't have DSL -__-.

you can go to thespectrum.net to read manga scans. They have all the Death Notes. I'm done with vol 9 and waiting for vol 10. I'm too lazy to go read manga scans and plus I have manga that I'm borrowing from my friends that I haven't read yet.

Just wanted to give a heads-up for anyone who doesn't have an aversion to online ordering: ADV Films, one of the biggest anime distributors in North America, is having a sale. Seriously, some of their prices are REDICULOUSLY low. $5 a disc for Aura Battler Dunbine, the entire Cat Girl Nuku Nuku TV series for $23, and a whole lot of interesting-looking stuff I can't even begin to name. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED: The "Devil Hunter Yohko" complete collection for $12.

Gravitation (WARNING: Shounen-ai...if you don't like two boys being in love with each other, avoid) is really really sweet!
I adore Ai Yori Aoshi...such a sweet story. ^_^

Honestly, I can't decide which from that list I want.
Of course, All Purpose Cultural Cat Girl Nuku Nuku is recommended in pretty much any form, but especially the TV series if you want something that's just plain insane.
I was thinking of getting all ten of the Aura Battler Dunbine DVDs they have--I really like that show and there's twelve volumes in all (meaning that fifty bucks would get me almost the entire series).
Blue Seed 9 is one I first heard about back in ye olden days that I've been kinda interested in.
Dai-Guard caught my interest because of its price ($12 for a complete anime series?) but my interest was kinda dampered when I saw that it was a comedy. Then again, their descriptions have been known to be wrong and if its right, so what? A little laughter now and then doesn't hurt.
Devil Hunter Yohko would definitely be up on my list except that I already own the entire series. Again though I recommend it to everyone else.
Doomed Megalopolis seems right up my alley.
Almost thought of their Super Dimension Fortress Macross DVDs, but the discount offered there aren't exactly enough for me, especially as I already have the dubbed "Robtech" version of the series.
Super Dimension Cavalry Southern Cross kinda disappointed me too, since you can get that for only five bucks more at Rightstuf.com (as well as the last remaining Robotech series, Genesis Climber Mospeada). I'm also looking more to get into stuff totally new to me instead of constantly revisiting old favorites.
I didn't even look at the live-action movies and TV shows.

I haven't paid attention to any anime or manga lately, but I still have some of my favorites. Though, I didn't usually watch anime in general. Also, a lot of the dramas I watch are based off manga (Kurosagi, Kimi wa Petto, It Started With a Kiss, etc.), so that must count a bit, right?
I've read a lot, but I've read quite a lot of CLAMP stories. My favorites from them are probably 20 Mensou ni Onegai and Suki Dakara Suki. (I think they published 20 Mensou in English as Man of 20 Faces? Not sure.)
My favorite long-term series was either Kare Kano or Fruits Basket and short-term was Fukai Nemuri no Hana.
Yeah, I mostly like shoujo.

I'm really bummed about some of the stuff that isn't licensed. I found a site with reviews for shoujo manga, and there was one that was about an aspiring voice actress who landed a part in a new vampire anime, but couldn't get the acting right since she was nervous. The predictably famous voice actor basically tries to seduce her under the guise of helping her, and it works (the helping, not the seducing. She's completely oblivious to THAT).
Your basic plotline and predictable outcomes.
I WANNA READ IT!
Why don't they license it? Why? T-T
