I've always been interested in where people came with their usernames, post your story here!
I used to be vegetarian/JCer on an old forum a long time ago. Because 1) I was a vegetarian and 2) I was a member of this online club called the JCers. And as time went on, I'd change the name around a little, but it would still pretty much be along the lines of vegetarianjcer. And then I got a nickname on the 2/5 guild. Captain Vegetarian of the USS HOTTUB. Or something like that, and so the nickname Cap'n Veg stuck. But I only use the name Cap'n Veg here (and on the 2/5 forum, and some pokemon thing, but that's it). All of my other accounts, such as my DA, are vegetarianjcer.

Rather not say how I came up with it (It does mean something though), but all with the exception of 1 website (Even though I don't have time to go on other websites alot, I belong to a few), I've used similar versions of my username .

That's the website I showed you, right? My name comes from a cult classic 80's song, and the extra tag line is an amusing thing I picked up from people on the aforementioned site.

Wow, cool to learn the origins of you guys ;D username . . . .you mean the display name, right? ^^; I've had lots of cyber names before but Sapphire Pyro is now what I want to be my permanent one . .. hopefully (changing names is pretty difficult. You need to inform people your new name and so on, or else they'll get mized up with your identity) Anywayz . . . . Sapphire is basically my favorite gem and its color is my fave as well. Pyro means fire, and I like Firey stuff. Combine those two, they mean blue fire. I adore blue flames because they're pretty to look at and I believe they're the hottest type of fire of all xD I can imagine myself having a cyber/imaginary form, wherein I have fire powers but uses blue flames xD I have even thought of a story for it xD Ehehehe Yes, yes . . .. it's all because of me and my weird imagination

Sapphires are awesome, aren't they (It's my 2nd favorite gem, behind the almighty diamond).
WBTC quote: "My name comes from a cult classic 80's song"
I knew it. When I first saw the username, the song popped in my head immediately.

Hmmm... My username is a long story.
It started in the late 1990s. There was a computer game called Warcraft II, and an online program called Kali. Back then, we didn't have things like Battle.net, but Kali was kind of the same thing except it could be used by any game that supported IPX networks.
Anyway, I went online under the name "StarStrike" and played for awhile. Now, an odd thing happened: A lot of other people showed up who had (something)Strike names (DarkStrike, MetaStrike, etc.) There got to be so many that some people even thought we were part of a clan. Now, I hate it when this happens--I am not part of a trend and I never will be!
So I decided to change my name. At the time, I was experiencing a classic gaming renaissance, thanks to emulators, and in particular re-experiencing the Nintendo Entertainment System. Thus I became "8-Bit Star," and when I registered for a Hotmail address I chose "nes_star@hotmail.com".
I've been "8-Bit Star" ever since, but the "JamesEightBitStar" variant came because I was going through a sort of identity crisis. Basically I associated the "8-Bit Star" name with what I felt was an obscuration of my "true self," or some junk, so I started adding "James" to it and saying to myself "There, this is the true me." Nowadays I've gotten over it and have been reverting back to "8-Bit Star."

1024=210. Easy. It's because I'm quite good at Maths. And because 1 megabyte is 1024 kilobytes.

Ummm...well *blushes*, I used to be a fan of divastarz and I went to their site alost every day (I was about 11 years old then, so please don´t laugh). There was a character called Summer and she was my favourite divastar. She had a rabbit called "Sunny" and in one game she said something like: "Let´s play with my Sunny bunny!" And few years later, when I started to make an account to a site where you can put your pics, comment the others and so on, that name just came onto my mind, so my username was sunnybunny. And now everytime I make an account to somewhere, I choose this username, because it´s easy to remember:)

No, 1MB is 1000KB. =P
Since I use my real name as my display name, an explanation is not really necessary.. =D.

You know what's the difference between an amateur programmer and a professional programmer? The amateur programmer thinks 1 megabyte is 1000 kilobytes while a professional programmer thinks 1 kilometer is 1024 meters. To clear it up, 1 megabyte is 1024 kilobytes. www.smartftp.com/support/kb/index.php/53. BTW, this confusion (1000 instead of 1024) is what makes the DVDs have not 4.7 gigabytes, but 4.37 of storage space. Because 4700.000.000.000 bytes divided by 1024 3 (to get gigabytes) is 4,37. /Totally off topic post.

Well... ;D
I first came on here as "Hoagie's Gal". That's pretty self-explanatory. ;D
Then I changed it to "Hoagie's Gal--Numbuh 807", and then just plain old "Numbuh 807".
807 is my birthday, August (8th month) 7.
And finally, my current name:
I went back to using Hoagie's Gal, since everyone was used to calling me that, and I added the "Madame" in homage to my 2/5 Guild alter-ego. ;D
As for names on other forums, they're all some variation of "Leo" or "Lioness". ;D
That's the facts, Jack!

Well, my first name here was "Numbuh 9". That's because I discovered Sector V has their numbers thanks to their last names. So I was like: "Hey, I want that too! =D" xD And since my last name has 9 letters and I didn't know Maurice yet back then, I took that number. ^^
But after a while I decided to just change to my real name (Vera) because:
1. I didn't feel like being Numbuh 9 any longer 2. I didn't wanna have the same number as my OC xD;
So I stayed Vera until I fell in love with Beckie. ^^
