cool to meet fellow sapphire lovers ;D I love diamonds and jades as well xD @ numbuh 1024 Thanks for the trivia. I also know from programming experience, 1024kb is same with 1 mb . . . but I also think 1000kb is also 1 mb. It got me confused. But thanks to you, it was clarified but still . . . sooooo many numbers. . . .I can't stand mathematical computations! They kill!!!

When I first joined I was working on some low level stuff in C and used hexadecimal a lot. When the time came to choose a display name I was thinking of using some obscure math in-joke (Numbuh Epsilon was my idea as I believe[1]) but decided agains it on the grounds that it would be a touch too obscure. Even for me. So I went with 0xFF which is the way you have to write the hex number FF16 in C. It's meant to illustrate the fact that I'm a geek.
@re: bytes
Nope. 1024 is quite right. 1KB=1024 bytes. There is quite a good reason for it too: to access a location in memory you have to adress it with an unique number trasnmited in binary trough a bus (think 'bunch of wires') now if you measured memory in standard power of 10 units you'd always have unused address space (since, say, it takes at least 7 bits to represent 100 which leaves 27 locations unused[2]) and that's wasteful. But if you measured and used memory in power-of-two units you'd eliminate the waste. And, so, people did. Which is why modern-day computers have 256MB, 512MB, 1024MB[1GB] of memory. Disc manufacturers don't have to stick to the power-of-two schemes ('cause you address the data on the disk by other measures: cylinder and track to be precise) and so they play dirty and use the term gigabyte to mean 1000MB instead of 1024MB which leads to a discrepancy between listed disk space and actual used disk space.
[1] Epsilon being math-speak for 'very little' in the epsilon-delta formalization of calculus. [2] Provided of course that you count from zero. And, as it happens, programers do.

@numbuh0xff Thanks for further trivia ;D I get to understand things more clearer, much better and lesser confusions xD *trying to process it . . .. . too many technical terms . . . . .no wondering why she took up a computer course though not very good with technical stuff *

Let's see...
I used to go under the name Sparkychu, and then AxOnTheCat (y'know, like an axe on the cat? I was an idiot back then). Then I needed a new name and I used UltraByte, which I still use.
I came up with the name SteelCheese when hearing about side projects bands and singers used, and I used this method:
(Cool Word)+(Random Word)
And then... SteelCheese was born.

Well, a little over a year ago, when I first started liking KND, I decided I needed a numbuh when I drew myself in my KND drawings and stuff. At first it was 7, but when I started reading fanfics and stuff I saw like, a million 7's so I decided I needed a different one. My favorite character in the show was numbuh 4, and so I multiplied 4 x 4 and then I got 16. 16 was also my number in the sport I did 2 years ago, (I forget what it was XP) and so... yeah. Thats where I got 16 from.

I chose the username "Chain of Memories" when I joined because it's the username I used on other forums I'm in. I also chose it because I like the Kingdom Hearts games.
Eventually, I decided to change to "Delightful CoM" because I became a big fan of the Delightfuls. And since I usually get called "CoM" here and at other forums, I decided to keep those initials on this username.

Well, a few years ago I started liking the Powerpuff Girls... again. I went all crazy and made up loads of fanfiction ideas... And behold! One of those ideas involved my four old OCs who went by the names of... the Powerruff Kids. (I used to be VERY uncreative back in the day) So eventually I started getting interested in different things, blahblahblah, and I never finished that fanfic. (<Is a procrastinator) When I was busy deleting things from my Microsoft Word I read that fanfic. I liked the term 'powerruff' so I ended up using that for my yahoo, (Except with this _ thingy between the 'r's) but with a 1 just in case someone already took it. But the _ wouldn't work when I decided to sign up for an account here so here I am with my username today.
...Heh, letters.

well Numbuh is from KND but 366 because at the time i registered, my 2 good friends and i got together to deal with our HomeEc class. We were supose to make muffins as our project...but i was worried about how we would do (my 2 friends are the type of guys that order takeout everyday so i was right to worry). We ended up misreading a few things...and decided that after a batch of failed muffins we should try something else. One of my friends thought it would be a good idea to make caramel, so he said that all we had to do was put butchscotch cubes into the pot and turn up the heat on the stove. this sounded like a bad idea so myself and my other friend decided to call it a day and clean up. While the two of us were cleaning, friend #1 had set his caramel plan in motion. He ended up burning the pan, so we took it outside to cool it down with a hose...butthe caramel got stuck at the bottom and the pan became unusable. We needed to get a new pan now so my mother wouldn't notice that we destroyed the old one. We had to dash to the store, buy a pot, buy muffins (so mom thought we did the work and didn't watch tv) and get some air freshiner cause the ktchen smelt like burnt caramel. All in all the days excursion cost $366. (pot, muffins, gas 4 car, air freshner) so that's where 366 came for...bet your sorry you asked right?
