So, whats you guys' favourite video games? Urgh, I'm fairly certain the grammar on that last sentence was horrific but nevermind.
Personally, I'm a Nintendo junkie myself. My all-time favourite is the Pokemon series, though Phoenix Wright is another of my favourites; I'm playing it right now! I also love Super Smash Brothers Melee and Twilight Princess.

My all-time favorites would be the Spyro the dragon games and Sonic. ;D

It's really hard for me to choose a favorite. For me "favorite" means a game I could go in and play any time even when I'm completely burned out on gaming, not something that I'm obsessed with right now but probably won't even think about five years down the line. So far, the only games that really match that description are: * Warcraft II + maybe Starcraft and a few other Real-Time Strategy games * Koei turn-based strategy (Nobunaga's Ambition, Romance of the Three Kingdoms especially). * DND (EDIT: You can download the game here--I like the 1984, Ro Software, PC version the best). * Nethack, Dungeon Hack, and select other "Roguelikes" (i.e. RPGs with randomized dungeons). * Raiden and other verticle-scrolling shooters (I like side-scrolling ones too). There's others I'd like to include but that the jury is still out on many of them. Heck, it's still out on some of the ones I named! EDIT: Removed Smash Bros. and Mario Kart from the list. I've decided I don't like those so much after all.

I dont' play many video games. The only one I REALLY played was Guild Wars, until I moved to my dorm. My laptop can't handle it. >< So need a new one.
Though I am VERY tempted to just go to the mall and buy a Wii, and Twilight Princess.
EDIT: Aaaand... I just did. On Ebay, actually. Cheaper than buying them seperately. I should know. Just spend 3 hours checking prices.

@ Suki
Laptops in general are not good gaming machines. I tried to get a "gaming Laptop" and it couldn't play half the games I owned. The ones it could play it only could if I could do without certain features... like sound.
Just wanted to tell ya that before you go spending thousands on a new Laptop.

Oh, I'm DEFINITLY not spending that much. I'm on a budget, poor college student that I am.
Besides, I only play one game, so if it can support that reasonably well, I'll be happy.
Not to mention I'd finally be able to start editing MVs again.

Still, a desktop would probably be better overall. Performance, quality, non-proprietary power supplies, AND you can upgrade them whenever you have the funds.
EDIT: Just curious, what kinda Laptop you got now?

A lame one.
Averatic. It's actually fine for internet, schoolwork, and most drawings (if they're small).
Anyway, I couldn't get a desktop. I'm in a dorm.

Super Mario RPG, most Zeldas (especially Wind Waker and Ocarina of time; screw A Link to the Past), pretty much every Treasure game with a few exceptions.

-The Thief Series: Dark Project is probably my single favorite game. Metal Age is good, but the setting in Dark Project was a little better. And I hated the Casing the Joint mission. I still have to play Deadly Shadows. This series started my love for stealth-based games. Awesome storyline, elaborate environments, and Garrett is one of the coolest characters ever.
-Street Fighter: Admittedly, not every version was of the best quality. The original had horrible controls, and the Alpha series relied on cheap combos and super-moves to drain 3/4 of your opponent's health rather than relying on a real strategy (still, it did have the added perk of crossing over with Final Fight). I don't even count the EX games since someone other than Capcom made them. Still, the SF2 and even SF3 games were all loads of fun, and provided great challenges for my friends and I, with not only head to head play, but high scores, unbeaten streaks, records with characters, records against characters, and everything else you could imagine. We also had lots of fun thinking up storylines for the characters, creating alliances and rivalries, turning some good and some evil, and almost RPing through the game.
-Grand Theft Auto: With the exception of GTA2, this whole series is highly enjoyable. Every game offers unique characters, Tarantino-esque dialogue, great music, clever humor through satire and amusing personalities, beautifully rendered living cities, and enough side missions to keep you occupied for weeks without ever having to advance through the main game if you want to take a break.
-Fatal Fury: One of the few fighting series that has successfully duplicated Street Fighter's model and became a great franchise on its own. A more detailed storyline than Street Fighter, some characters unique and others with borrowed personas (Lawrence Blood is in every way a poor man's Vega), and great replayability and challenge factor. Its cousin, King of Fighters, was also a novel concept as it was the first major crossover, combining characters from Fatal Fury, Art of Fighting, Ikari Warriors, and Athena with some new arrivals, and introducing the team concept, which refreshed the genre.
