See, this is what I meant with my Chad-was-suddenly-turned-good-to-make-things-more-interesting theory. All the things he did don't seem undercoverish.

Think back to Operation: PARTY. Remember when Kuki and Wally are slowdancing past the teenagers, and Wally suddenly bumps into Chad? If you look at his eyes, you'd notice that he could partially see him and Kuki. But he didn't rat them out. In a way, that kind of foreshadows the event in TREATY.
Other than that, I sort of agree with you, krossfire. It was a little out-of-the-blue. They probably didn't have it in mind when making episodes like SLUMBER, ELECTIONS, and all the ones after END with Chad in the episode.

Chad being a good guy sounds like the writers made a last minute, and rushed decision. He should've stayed as a villain. What makes Chad interesting as a character is that he is a good guy turned bad and we don't see that type of character often in any medium of storytelling. And during his stint as a villain, he was great. I enjoyed watching him being the main antagonist in ELECTIONS. Pair him up with Cree, and we'll get the best Teen Ninja duo ever seen.

Chad being a good guy sounds like the writers made a last minute, and rushed decision. Almost undoubtedly. Nevertheless, although it was an unnecessary twist, they had to make the plot work somehow. I am very curious to know the rest. A few things that we've been questioning throughout the earlier seasons are yet to be revealed. Besides, I kind of like Chad and Nigel's relationship. ^^ Hope he'll turn up again some time.

I'm not into slash, but I gotta agree. The rivalry, the anger, the hatred. A lot of drama. I like it!

Actually I was re-watching ELECTIONS the other day and in one scene when Chad's friend is telling him that the middle school is closing in on the elementary school, if you look really carefully you can see Chad has this embarressed smile on his face for like a split second. It was weird to see and it made me think that maybe it was a little clue that he really didn't want this to happen.
Although later when he's sweet talking that girl with the news that she'll have a "twerp" as her own personal slave, he may have been acting to impress the girl and keep up his charade, but it kept me guessing a little more.

Hey, good observations, Pentical. I'll be sure to look for that the next time I watch the episodes.
I kind of like how it was so unexpected. I was open-mouthed throughout the entire scene with Nigel and Chad (and Numbuh Infinity) after the unveiling of his secret. Crazy.

But then, he was really obsessed about taking Numbuh 1 down. In an unrelated note, I'll have to say that ELECTIONS is my favorite episode ever. Plenty of drama, action, teamwork and lack of shipping.

When Nigel had that weapon pointing at Chad, do you really think Nigel was going to actually kill him or just hurt him badly? That makes me wonder how innocent the KND really is.

I'm guessing he just wanted to make him let go of that door he was hanging from not really thinking in what would happen next. Or maybe he only wanted to scary him by shooting really close to him.

Finish off. That's pretty dark.

Numbuh One was always more serious about the KND than the rest. I don't doubt it.
Another Mr. W question.
