Not even from the show that much, but from its abundance of shippers. I've heard 'Opposites Attract' at one point to explain 2/5, and I think that's one of the top cliches. |

Yup. I agree. I think it has something to do with them all being Sector V pairings. I think the one I hear most of is 3/4 though, and that makes sense too since it's canon. Not official, mind you, but canon.

What I meant is 'canon' as in... it's more or less confirmed that they like each other (well according to CN it's confirmed but I dunno about CP). So when I said 'not official' I meant they're not an official couple because they're not actually together or dating. Anyone who can make sense of that gets a cookie. I relate 'cliche' to 'oversimplified', because I see too many couples being explained in one sentence or phrase. Couples stand out more in my mind when you CAN'T explain them so simply.
