*nods* he is very cool, but I'm not good at proportions. I have to make him skinnier or I flop the whole thing. *lowers head in shame*

He's the most diverse, that's for sure. Probably why they've teamed him and Kuki up in this season. He's, like, the ONLY character who can be teamed with her (besides Wally) and make a really good episode. They tried Abby in HOME, and Nigel in CAKED-THREE, but those two are just... too down to Earth, I guess. Not a lot of clickage. Teaming Wally and Kuki is mainly for romantic emphasis, but it works. And Hoagie clicks with everyone.
@ Mel: Don't sweat it. Most people have problems wiht proportions. Proportions and anatomy. And the chubby thing... well, there aren't many people who can draw them well. Too much exaggeration, most often. And chub-fetish artists, who REALLY overdo it. We're talking rolls of fat all over the place. Like some loose bread dough got stuffed in a bikini.
... Not that I go looking for that stuff or anyting.

Bow down to his versatility! I just love him because, sure, all of them are kids, but he's the best example. He's in his own world, but we get a better view of his than Kuki's (and while I adore her, hers can be utterly annoying, with the whole rainbow monkeys are the world thing..). Plus who doesn't love the sauve detective?

Actually, I'm pretty sure taht in CLUES when he was slapping Tommy around and that whole, "I was hungry, no thirsty" thing was a nod to Chinatown, which I just saw yesterday.
I've been watching a lot of detective stuff lately.

Never seen Chinatown. May have to look into that...
We were doing a detective unit in Modern Lit, and I kept picturing Hercule Poirot looking like Hoagie. Which doesn't make sense, as Poirot is French and has a mustache, but...well..it certainly made the stories more entertaining to me.

He's Belgian. And if you call him French, he'll tell you so.

*chuckles* I bow to you, Suki. You know your detectives! Unfortunately, this also means my teacher was misinformed. She called him French as well. I'd remedy this situation, except nobody in the class actually cares. Well, I do...but currently we're watching Monk...I love Monk.
Seriously, somebody should draw a black and white picture of Hoagie in a bar as a detective, with Fanny...I don't know. I can't remember the cliche for women in those movies for some reason.

Femme fatale. Fanny's hair actually respembles one of the most famous femmes of the 40s. Veronica... something. Can't remember right now, but she invented the hair-over-one-eye look.
And he's not freaking French! Tell your idiot teacher to try reading the damn book before teaching it! That's a freaking running gag throughout the series.

We found out Mel's Modern Lit teacher is in the habit of forcibly inserting various objects into the rectums of unwilling individuals. Don't think anyone's updated their stories yet (Gail -_-). And... that's about it.

And I updated my story yesterday! ...or was it 2 days ago? Either way, it's updated.

Heh, sorry. I tend to think of anything more than a day old as an old update. ^^;;

...where'd she run off to?

I am on my friends computer, which doesn't work that well, so I may have long periods of time before each reply. Sorry.
Bout my story... I SWEAR that I am working on it, but I got grounded. I am serious. Oh, and he next chapter is not the Fanny/Albert date. That is the chapter after the next chapter.
I feel so bad that I haven't had time to read all your 2/86 story mel, i'll go read it now. ;D
