Of course, many facts of life are meant to be understood through explanation by their parents, or through sex education classes. If something "complicated" is shown in the show, then the show may have to be PG!

What's there to understand? That boys and girls sometimes long to "like like" their fellow gender, just as other boys and girls feel towards their opposite genders? A lot of kids actually felt those longings, even of course they couldn't quite understand them yet. I don't quite understand that.

If something "complicated" is shown in the show, then the show may have to be PG! PG? The show is ALREADY PG, pretty much! Okay, it's Y-7. I say that is rather close. And girl next door, what is so hard about what I just said that you cannot comprehend it? Did I use too many big words?

It's the rating of the show. The ratings in Australia are different, but I think it means that it's reccommended for kids over seven.
I don't understand what was hard to understand about Diala's post.

TV-Y7 is actually an American TV rating from the V-Chip, in your local cable provider. USA ONLY! That's for viewers who are 7 years old or above who want to watch that show. The other stuff below the ratings are FV, V, D, S and L. These are the codes on what show contains that are not suitable for younger audiences.
I wouldn't mind slashing some characters, even mine. Slash is cool, in my opinion. Not just always cool, you know, even when they're young.

Actually, I believe that PG shows differ from Y-7 from the fact that one's an age requirement and one requires a parent to be present. Anyway, there are not such precise ratings where I live. All cartoons don't get rated, while getting rated PG is a huge jump from non-rated shows. (Usually, soaps get rated PG.)

I thought it was parental guidance reccommended for children under 15. That's what PG is here.

PG is a rating used for movies by the MPAA. These ratings include G, PG, PG-13, R, and NC-17.
Y7 is a rating used for TV shows created by the Parents Television Council. These terms are Y, Y7, TV-G, TV-PG, TV-14, and TV-MA. Though I wonder about the legality of them using the G and PG ratings at all, considering the MPAA has been very picky about who can use their system.
Just... you guys seemed like you were mixing up your terminology. ^^
ALSO: Everyone, by now, knows my opinion on fem/slash. Thus, I'm not gonna argue about it. Especially with a bunch of kids. >_<

my parents do (--__--) I still don't think that 7 year olds should be learning about homosexuality. They're too young to be affected by society. Their minds are already ruined by war and rage, so why should we give them a term that in their society might be a bad thing?

You sound as if your folks not treating like a kid is a bad thing... First I've ever heard of anyone being GLAD to be treated like a kid. Edit: Most already know how I feel about slash.

i really am a kid (at heart, but ain't that what counts?) Yes, but 7 year olds have time to grow-up, to enjoy society and war free worlds of their own, to develop into good people who don't live on the street or go to jail.
