May I request that this thread be deleted? I must step up and be an advocate for KND's "true" fans, whom have captured the true "essence" of the show, and say that it is offensive to come here and see these topics totally unrelated to KND. first of all - it IS related to KND, because it is a pairing of KND characters. all couples, dispite how distasteful you might find them, are couplings none the less and thus fandom related. and who are you to decide who's a "true" fan and who's not? if you are offended by the couple, don't read the thread, and don't read the fic. (as far as i know there's only one supporting M/K). as for the "essence" of the show - that's already been pretty well beaten, tied up and tossed in the closet, as there have been several lemons, slash pairings, het pairings, suicidal!kuki, murder, and bad, bad, badd spelling. so really, i am neither suprised nor appalled that people are bringing their own little quirks (including, yes, slashcest) in. that's just part of fandom in general... you gotta deal. And it is that kind of mentality that allows people to get away with atrocious behavior. and writing fic about two fictional characters, rating it appropriately and warning people about the couple in the summary is atrocious? this thread is clearly marked with it's subject - and it's not like anybody's said anything bad, unless my defence of the "live and let live" additude greatly offends everyone. cripes. s'not like the thread is "pictures of cute bunnies!" and then filled with graphic S+M pics of mushi/kuki bondage. get over yourself. |

Well, I'm going to give scone a pat on the back. Fandom is just that - fandom. It belong to the fans and there really is no right or wrong. (The show, on the other hand, belong to the creators - but we're not writing the show, are we?) If something is not your cup of tea, just don't read it/look at it/participate in a discussion of it. "Quack quack quack" is all I see coming from your keyboard. i'm not angry. nor am i ignorant. and if you actually want to discuss this, fine, but generic insults without addressing any of my actual points isn't real conductive to that... it's actually rather childish. i haven't insulted you... yet. the individual, real, or ultimate nature of a thing especially as opposed to its existence maybe my diction is too convoluted, or maybe you were distracted by the ducks that apparently live in my keyboard. my point relating to the "essence" of the show was that there are already many, many things that fans do that "pervert" (if you want to use that word) the nature of the show. every time somebody writes an angst fic they're pretty well disgarding the essence of the show because the show has no angst. other examples are included in my above post. so how is somebody's wierd coupling any worse of an exploitation? if you want to pull the "purity of essence" card, you have to apply it universally, not just to certain things. Being a "true" fan of the show is not exploiting the characters to your perverse liking well, i know many, many a fan who would laugh at that. what do you think fanfiction or fanart IS? it's taking the characters and making them do what you want, whether it's likely to happen in the show or not. i'm sorry if you feel that doesn't include forcing characters into couples, but as i haven't seen you whining about people writing 3/4 fic (which is just as much an exploitation of the characters), i feel that you're just upset about the degree. (and i admit that kuki/mushi is more extreme than 3/4 or most common couplings, no argument there). and then coming onto forums and advertising it all over the net. The sheer arrogance and stupidity of your post is laughable and I question your intelligence. i don't even LIKE mushi/kuki, but you know what? i'm just not gonna read it, and more power to whoever likes it. and i haven't advertised any of my perversion on this board. i don't even link to the KND lemons i like, or the one i wrote. all i've done is ask who you are to be able to classify "true fans" and defend people's right to like whatever couples they want. Please, this is a Kids Next Door FANDOM posting board! This is where you can post your opinions. But if they're stupid and just plain rude and incorrect (by you're "definition" of fandom), then there's no use in taking it as an opinion any longer. It's not an opinion anymore, but an insult. It's fine if you want to disagree, but in your head, please. Don't make us hate you so fast. This is the few posts I've seen from you, and now I just plain don't like you.
