Once I saw a review saying that Kids next Door was the "four letter 'f' word".That guy's giving 'anti-KND' weirdos a bad name!

What I find hilarious is those bashing the show, about how stupid it is, where their review has several grammar mistakes and spelling errors. I get a kick out of that.

Reviews like that made me mad mostly because I dont think they even watched more then one episode.

Most of the time they don't. Those with claims that KND has no plotline REALLY need to pay more attention. KND has one of the deepest plotlines of any cartoons I've ever seen.

...And Sheep In The Big City is NOT better than KND. So THERE.
Also, if you think the KND theme songs suck.....try Tom And Jerry. The ONLY reason it was a huge hit and classic was because it was one of the FIRST colored cartoons ever, and all the episodes are about is a cat chasing a mouse and twitching into several shapes and sizes from whatever they did.
The Simpsons and Friends were awesome....but they're not competition for the KND. THEY rock.
*sigh* I can only understand why reviewers are usually broke slobs.....they do s*** reviews like these and they don't know what the crud they're talking about.
Also, I read ANOTHER KND review dissing them like s***, especially dissing Lenny (something along the lines of, "WHy does he wear a helmet? OOOH...is it to protect himself from germs!!". Ugh..its a FOOTBALL helmet....!!)
and he has the nerve to go, "KND is a bad show. STAY AWAY!!!"
Who the hell does it think it is to tell us to stay away!?

I never understood why Tom and Jerry was so popular. At least Looney Tunes, Disney, The Dick Tracy Show, and Popeye contained witty (if sometimes controversial) dialogue as well as good ol' surrealism to help spice up the slapstick. Tom and Jerry was nothing but a cat and mouse beating each other to death for five minutes. Yes yes, we're upset (well... YOU'RE upset. I've got better things to get a rise over than a negative opinion of some cartoon), but please people, you're (and I mean general-you're, not specific-you're) getting childish, making all these assumptions about their lifestyles just because they don't like the same shows you do. Especially the part where the reviewers are "broke," How the hell do you guys get the idea that the reviewers must not have any money? Do you assume that if they had some they'd spend it all on KND? It's one thing to make immature assumptions, its another to make immature assumptions that make no logical frixing sense!And the difference between these reviewers and Fluffles is that Fluffles came to a FAN FORUM and dissed the show, repeatedly. These reviewers posted a single review on a website that is open to all opinions. Disagree with the review, fine, but don't attack the reviewERS. The reaction and behavior I've seen so far is just sad. P.S. Voltron is still better.  |

How it was a big hit (and STILL is in Egypt, by the way) I will never know. Tom and Jerry is big in Japan too, from what I hear. One explanation I've heard is that the show is non-verbal, so it can be enjoyed in any language. I guess if people can enjoy sitcoms they can enjoy Tom and Jerry. As was pointed out, that could easily have been a typo. And making an assumption about a TV show is different from making an assumption about someone's lifestyle based on whether or not they like a certain TV show. In all honesty, I thought the guy who made the above-mentioned typo also was the one guy who had the most legitimate points (probably because a lot of things he complains about were things I didn't like either--in particular Father and the over-abundance of eps that parody movies). Everyone else was dumb, sure, but don't go dissing the "Numbuh Four is Tommy's brother" guy just because he made one piddly little mistake. (Pick on the guy who said Friends was better than KND--now there's an easy target!) If they were gonna write quality reviews they wouldn't be writing them on the Internet Movie Database. Frankly, a lot of the positive reviews aren't so hot either. I assume you mean the smiley, which is supposed to denote when I'm being silly or mischevious--such as when I'm pointing out a show that I think is better than KND just to tease the fanbase and keep the foodfight going. |

Eh, Tom and Jerry was good for it's time. Weird, but good. Everyone's entitled to their opinions, I just don't like it when they straight out bash the show. If they don't like KND, fine, that's their choice, but I don't like them saying 'it's stupid', especially not if it's on a forum dedicated to the show. If you don't like the show, stay off of the forum for it.
