I find it kind of humorous that you rely on me for final decisions like I'm some goddess who will fix all. Not just flattery... its also quite true. Have you seen what happens when we try to resolve anything ourselves? Even this simple topic, over a simple subject, didn't go for a week without one member making insinuations and another making accusations that someone was "trying to start drama." We are too high-strung and we need you to mother us until we get our collective neurosis sorted out. ... Actually, I'd rather see that filter re-activated and left unfixed. ..... You kick butt.

Be as it may James the mighty and infallible Admin hath spoken. If certain words offend you beyond all measure report them and I am sure one of us will censor them for your (or any other member's) benefit. Aside from that things stay as they stay and 'damn' and 'hell' and similar exceedingly mild profanity stays.

I wasn't trying to debate the Admin's decision, I was just saying! Why are you all tryin' to come down on me, huh? I see how you are! It's always "Jimmy" this and "Jimmy" that and "chuck him out, the brute!" But its "well-respected member" when the guns begin to shoot! Get off my back already!!!
Incidentally, I think the phrase "tongue in cheek" is offensive and should never be uttered by a human being in any form ever again.

Starting with that one. Your wish is my command. Sometimes.

Hm. I've been lurking enough. Mind if I put in a few cents?
James, are you referring to this statement...
That was the last one aimed at you. And frankly, I don't see anything to get worked up about in there. FF's statement seems perfectly calm and logical.
Frankly, I think the only one who's done anything close to attacking you is Celra. Just...chill out, 'kay?
I'm still confused as to how this is an issue at all. There's been no real major incident of swearing lately. And most people censor themselves, for crying out loud.

Artgirlb, that last outburst of mine was a joke.
Seriously, I thought the paraphrasing of Kipling and the "by the way saying 'tongue in cheek' is offensive" parts made that patently clear.

Well, you're only our Almighty Creatrix. Or the Chairwoman of the Board. Or something else like that.
;D
I'm glad this is resolved. Besides, with most people censoring themselves voluntarily, it shouldn't come up as an issue again.

I didn't say it was sarcastic. I said it was a joke. Sarcasm actually is supposed to be somewhat offensive so I'd never engage in that type of humor.
... At least, not anymore.
