Personally, I think that its okay to swear as long as your not cussing anyone out. i mean someone could easily get offended by " " or something stupid. People are going to swear, and that's that. If it's pg-13 fourm, and a 10 year old joins, then that's their problem. Not Ours.

I don't personally have any problem with swearing, but if Stardrifter does...

So just because someone brings something up, it becomes a forum-wide issue?
Then I bring up that my art thread doesn't get nearly enough comments! This offends me. Do something, Mod! Tis your job!

Ma'am, yes ma'am!
;D
Seriously, though, I have to respond to complaints that concern the workings of the forum. I don't have to do anything about it (depending on discussion with other mods and decrees from On High) but I always have to listen. So do the other mods, of course. You are free to ignore the whole ruckus and, unless we change forum policy because of some complaint you'll never need to know. Or you can wade in and argue. Either way's cool with me.

I jsut like making lame points via sarcastic demands.
And it was worth a shot. T-T

What I'd like to know is why the hell James brought this up in the first place this did not need to be brought up.
Seriously was this just a "I bored I think I'll start a complaint" type of thing? Because I looked around and I dident see anyone saying F*** this or F*** that and usually if they do its bleeped out.
Seriously I think this topic was made just to see what kind of drama could be started and unless you can give me a better reason to why this was made I'll stick with this being a "I'm bored so I'm gonna complain" topic

Motivations aside James has the right to question the running of this forum. Any member does. Right now, I'm leaning towards "the forum seems to be ticking along just fine, no need for any change" but that could change with: -> Vigorous disagreement among my fellow mods. This seems to be missing, though. -> Public outcry. Likewise lacking. -> Directive from On High. Stardrifter is, as of yet, silent. Should this change we will do as she wills.

Celra- Actually, lately I saw James making a few posts pointing out people's curse words and asking them to censor it out. Don't know why, then again I don't really care, so long as I'm not forced to censor out the word "crap" or anything.

If you wanna clean up the forum language, the obvious place to start is the Caption Contest. Gawd forbid some kid finds out what we mean by an It.

Well, some I can understand. Like not yelling FIRE in a crowded theater. That's just safety.
But when you start making rules and laws so no one will get offended, better switch to interpretive dance for communication. And even that will offend somebody.
