Well, I'm off.
This was an awesome place to be, at first, but it's become dark. You can't say something without being flamed. You can't disagree with someone on one thread without them continuing to attack you everywhere you go. Those of you who think that this doesn't happen; you aren't seeing the same things as I do.
I am not asking you to change. I figured out that I can't get it to change. I can take it or leave it. So, I'm leaving.
Good luck, and good riddance.

Goodbye, Gail. Fighting the "forces of darkness" won't be the same without you.

If I understand why she's leaving correctly, it wasn't just that thread. A lot of little things tend to pile up.

Ah... the name looked like random letters since I didn't take the time to look at it.
Why do people always mistake a disagreement as a flame? The most hostile stuff on that thread was her, from what I could read. And I have been reading it.
Either way, good wishes seem hollow when followed by "good riddance".

Maybe it's just me but it seems like the forum is growing farther apart and it's probably becoming adversarial like the real world.

The forum seems to be a Very Unhappy place lately I have noticed this for quite awhile I really dont think theres any hope for happiness here anymore since KND is dying and the lack of things to talk about here people seem to be starting fights with eachother and getting pissed of and Upset quite easily.

Let's hope that this forum doesn't degenerate into a hellhole of anarchy.

Let's hope that this forum doesn't degenerate into a hellhole of anarchy. You mean it hasn't already? ;P

Let's hope that this forum doesn't degenerate into a hellhole of anarchy. You mean it hasn't already? ;P There is still at least some semblance of order here.

Yeah, but that order HAS fallen through once before, and we can't keep counting on Stardrifter to come around and save us again and again.
The biggest problem is that the forum has a rather checkered history and I think people can't just let it go. There was actually a time where you couldn't discuss ANY couples except 3/4, 1/5, and 1/Lizzie, because some girls were known to start flamewars if you liked anything else (a friend of mine ended up taking down her webpage because of flamers).
Fortunately, we Got Over That, but see, the same thing keeps happening in other areas. For example: One girl makes a huge topic about how she's dying, which turns out to be a huge attention grab. Suddenly, any time anyone makes a personal topic, everyone's automatic first thought is "OMG another attention-monger! Dramarama!" This leads to some rediculous and almost embarrassing cases. Like the guy who posted "Hey I want my RP friends to know I'm going to be away for a few weeks" and he got chewed out for that. I mean seriously, "dramarama" was a non-issue that the less secure and extremely over-reactive members of the forum blasted out of proportion and it just got silly.
And, you know, there's all this suspicion and doubt. Everyone thinks everyone else has these hidden agendas and that there's all these behind-the-scenes politics going on and that there's this sort of "secret war" being waged. I mean, okay yes, there actually is a sort of war going on here, but it is not secret, it has never been a secret, and I think we all know who is on what side and have heard their reasonings filtered through one source or another. And there's only, what, five participants?
Probably the biggest thing is no one wants to claim responsibility. Half the reason for that "war" is because everyone wants to believe that every bad thing that ever happened is someone else's fault. Its a big, childish "You started it! Nuh-uh YOU started it!" match. Nobody wants to admit they're flawed or that they've done bad things or that their actions haven't always been good and right. No one wants to admit their mistakes.
.... And you know... that's just silly. We're on a forum for a show aimed at 10-year-old kids. Why is it that this place has such problems when other cartoon forums I've been to have been squeaky clean?
