I'm thoroughly surprised nobody mentioned it here before. What do all of you think of it?
In my opinion, this episode sort of sticks out like a sore thumb. It contradicts the other episodes (especially ZERO and INTERVIEWS). It's certainly an interesting plotline, but it just doesn't fit in with the rest of the series. For this, and for the fact that it contradicts the evidence, I don't consider this episode to be canon. This isn't to say it isn't good: it's just inconsistent.
What do you all think?

That episode where Nigel talks about kids creating adults? Sorry, I can remember episode content, just not the names they go with sometimes.
I thought it was a fun episode, but I mostly thought all that junk to be in Nigel's head. Sure, there's the ending with the teacher going "They know" and all that foreboding jazz, but like you said, it's inconsistent with ZERO and INTERVIEWS.
I like to think of it as, in-universe non-cannon conspiracy stuff Nigel cooks up in his spare time.
Make what you will of the creepy teacher, I'm just a fan~

I like this episode. I agree that it's inconsistent and therefore can't be truly canon, BUT... I like to think it contains bits of canon... That it was loosely based on truth that got carried away by his imagination, and his own theories added on to it. You just have to separate the fact from fiction yourself!
Plus it was funny, hehe.

I liked the episode for the crazy story told by Numbuh 1 when it comes to his attempt to make a report about the signing of the Declaration of Independence. I had no idea what the teacher meant when he said, "They know..." in the end.

This was one of my favorite episodes of season 3, since its one of the only episodes that ever gives us any ideas about the KND's history or origins. A lot of people like to say that this episode's outrageous story and explanation of the KND's history is non-canon because its inconsistent with what we know from episodes like CAKED-FIVE and ZERO, but think about it this way: if this episode marks year one of the KND universe, any character we see here is the ancestor of the characters we know from the series, hence wigglestien looking like Father. Also, if the adults brainwashed the kids then that means that they would create events to substitute for their history, hence the inconsistencies and the way Nigel would know about this is because Wigglestien is related to Father who is related to Monty who is Nigel's dad so maybe he found some reference to it in the book of KND? Anyone who wants to challenge me on this please do so.

I agree that this story could be based on the early history of the knd universe and show the ancestors of the main characters. Considering that there have been seven ages of the KND, there is a large enough gap between the start of the organization and the latest age to support both the tale Nigel discussed and the current series without much contradiction.
I don’t think Nigel would have gotten his information from the Book of KND. This episode takes place in season three, long before Operation Zero. Nigel didn’t know about his family ties yet and had no idea where the Book of KND was.

I kind of think the information of this episode was probably something that the KND came up with because the Adults are hiding the truth of how kids come into existence and the only reason they can imagine for adults hiding such information is that kids made adults. Or perhaps a kid found out the truth and decided that it was best if the knowledge of how kids were made was not allowed to spread to the rest of the children. So they came up with this story. Either way, I can't imagine any adults going out of their way to correct them, especially considering some of the members of the KND are as young or younger than 6 or 7.
The members of sector V certainly don't know where babies come from. For goodness sake, Numbuh One is 100% sure they come from eggs.
I do suspect that one of Father's ancestors could have started the act of spanking in response to their child misbehaving though and a new wave of harsher punishments and the requirement of chores to save money for toys could have sparked issues between children and adults.
