Portal 2

I'm seriously shocked there was no thread for this.

For those who don't know, Portal 2 is a game produced by VALVe, released on April 19th, and is the sequel to Portal (I know... stating the obvious, there). It's gameplay is a bit tough to explain, but it's kind of like a first-person shooter combined with a puzzle game. Kinda-sorta.

This sequel is quite a bit longer than the first game, and has a lot more in the way of a story and character development. I've also found this game a lot funnier than the first.

I myself have been playing this game, and it's... just great beyond words. That's all I can really say.

This game is great, I've always loved GlaDOS as my favorite homicidal computer AI ^_^ as celebration my ringtone is not her telling me to pick up the phone or die...and then precede to throw insults at me and tell me how rude I am XD

But yeah, great game. Which system did you get it for? Or was it PC?

I wound up playing it on the PS3. Which was a bit difficult.

All of the characters in this game are just so great. I've become a bit obsessed with the Corrupted Cores particularly, and I don't even know why.

Have you ever seen the human versions of GLadOS on DA? The guy put up all the corrupted cores as well, all very cool.

But yeah, I can see how that's difficult. I got PS3 as well and tried to download the free PC copy that came with it. Turned out you need to sign in to PSN and then the day after it went down.....so I got it for 360 since I own both systems.....it was still a pain but now I have all three versions XD

Yeah, there's a lot of human versions of all of them, really. I think Makani definitely made the best GLaDOS. I've seen quite a few good Wheatleys and Corrupted Cores, too.

I hope to play it on a PC at some point. I've heard it's better that way.

It's got some extra stuff, nothing to fascinating but definatly some good stuff.

I'm actually surprised that I knew almost all of those. I intend to do another playthrough sometime. I went through pretty fast on the first.

So did I, it kinda sucks that you can't do the co-op yet because PSN's down.....unless you do it split screen.

I knew alot of them but some I just missed, like the possible relationship that Chell has to Glados and the owner of Aperture science....and the black mesa thing. I was actually surprised I didn't get it, considering I've played Half life and all it's expansions (Blue Shift, Opposing Force, and parts of the unfinished Decay)

I did get stuck playing it split-screen. It was awful.

But I will probably wind up playing it on a PC at some point... somehow. Not really sure.

Once PSN comes back online....which may or may not take forever. You have a steam account though?

I don't have a Steam account, no. Though I have access to someone else's (they gave access).

Well that's nice, but hey if you want to play some time I wouldn't be against it. I haven't completed the co-op yet due to my....terrible internet connection and that my other friend doesn't have a copy of it. So I usually have to get my friend from another town all the way over to my house and it's a long and painful process.

I am actually doing a stream playing the single player as I type this. even though the quality is dreadful

Only reason I have it is because I actually just went ahead and bought a new copy.
