Rubie grinned, "Bat!" and turned back into one, too.

Jamie and Calico turned back into bats and followed them, as it didn't take them as long to get there.

"I can't wait to see new place!" Rubie smiled, flying faster and faster, loving how the moon looked above them.
After a while, they started getting closer to civilization.
"Hey, I see fire!" Madalina said, looking down towards the ground. There was a group of about fifteen people below them creating a larger and larger fire. There was a large log in the middle.
To her horror, she saw a woman attached to it who was still alive. The people were shouting "Vampire! Vampire!" in Romanian.
"Vampire?" Rubie repeated, in confusion.
"Uhoh, we've got trouble! Let's hurry up before they see us and think there's been an invasion of vampires, they know we turn into bats!" Hank ordered.
"But we can't just leave her! We have to save her!" Madalina pleaded.

"But she might not BE a vampire! Sometimes people fake it, but tests are so unreal, it doesn't matter if the person is a real vampire or not. I've heard people the town hates accuse them and no one cares to prove them wrong. if we transfrorm into human than they won't accuse us, since they don't know us."

Hank rolled his eyes, "Fine. No soldier shall go down!" he ordered, darting down at where the woman was tied down.
The group of people started to panic and get angry, "She has others!" one shouted.
"Down with the devil!" another charged.
Madalina dove down to help Hank bite the ropes, gaining time because the people, although they wanted the bats dead, did not want to get burned.
Soon the ropes snapped loose.
"Come on!" Madalina called up to the others, "Help us remove her!"

"Grab her!" Hank ordered, gripping a large chunk of her hair in his teeth, starting to pull her up. The girl winced in pain, but once they all got ahold of her and pulled her out of the fire, she breathed a sigh of relief.
The girl gazed up at them as she fell to the floor and the villagers started to race towards her.
"You demon girl! Asking your friends for help!" One shouted.
It took all of the self control Hank had to stop himself from turning into his human form to scare off the villagers. Instead he dove down and whispered in her ear, "Speak a bible prayer and we will pretend to scurry away in fear."
The girl faked a glare, and through all her pain, managed to speak the Lord's prayer and the group pretended to be scared off.
The group of villagers stared in amazement, "Are you a saint?" one asked.
"We're so sorry!" another shreiked as they all knelt down to help her up.

"We must not give up, soldiers!" Hank said, watching the girl and the villagers from afar.
"But what will they think when they saw a group of vampire bats and suddenly a bunch of new people who only come out at night move into town? Hmm?" Madalina questioned.
"We will skip that town and go onto the next! It will be a longer journey, but anything worth doing isn't easy!" Hank said.
Rubie frowned, "But this is so much work! I want to play!"
"Little girl, this is the trip of your short lifetime, please don't quit!" Hank said, trying to be somewhat inspirational.
"Well, ok. Fine. But let's at least wait for the villagers to leave that girl so we can ask her if she'd like to tag along as well." Madalina said.

Hank waited as thoughts ran through his head. "I've got an idea" he said, "Stay here." as he flew quickly into a nearby group of trees and transformed into his human self. He then walked toward the group of people and the girl.
"Hello" he said in his Norwegian accent, but in perfect Romanian.
The group looked up at him and stared.
"Who are you?" one asked.
"My name is Hank. I've come to retrieve my bride. Villagers have told me I could find her here." he said, looking over at her, "What have you done to my lady?!"
"We're so sorry! She will heal in time....scar she will, but she will be healed!" one man panicked at the anger in Hank's expression.
"We thought she was a vampire!" another said.
"This beautiful woman?" Hank shouted, "My wife? Leave before I kill you all! How foolish!"
The men stood in place, dumbstruck before all heading back to town.
Once they were out of sight, Hank turned to the girl who looked back at him, still surprised.
"You saved me!"
"Correction: My soldiers...er, I mean, fellow vampire group has saved you!" he said, motioning for them to all join him and her on ground.

She nodded, "Yes." She had short, straight red hair that layered long in the front but short and spikey in the back. She had pale skin and freckles with bright green eyes. She was taller than average, just like Hank and wore a form fitting royal purple dress.
