"And I got turned because Calico bit me during a fight we had. If only i believed in vampires," he shook his head.

Anna laughed, "I wish my story was as nice as yours..." she sighed sadly as the memories flooded back to her.
"You don't have to tell them," Valentine said boldly.
"No, it's ok, Valentine. I might as well tell them seeing as we're all going to be together so much from now on. It all started hundreds of years ago. I lived in a small town in Italy where I had a mom, a dad and five sisters. We used to spend our days doing not the most fun of things; we'd spend most of our time working outdoors and cleaning indoors. Of course, being sisters, we were very close and always found time to have a little fun in between work. Well, one day I met a man who I thought was the man of my dreams. He was wealthy, which was important for our family who were the poorest of the poor, honorable and after a couple of weeks asked for my hand in marriage. Without a thought otherwise, I said yes." Anna paused for a moment, trying to hold it all together.
"Wow, what happen?" Rubie asked, her eyes wide.
"The unimaginable happened. One night I was cooking breakfast, waiting for my sweet husband to come around since I told him I was making him a special meal, but he never showed. He only came out at night and apologized. One day I had enough of his odd behavior and suspected him of cheating on me with other women. Turns out, I was wrong. He was lying for a whole other reason...he was a vampire. When I found out, I shouted for him to never come back again! I told him that if he did, I would have him killed. With sad eyes, he left the room. I thought that was the end of it and I was both saddened and relieved...but I was wrong. One night while the family was away, he came into my home and I screamed with horror." Anna's eye's filled with tears and Valentine turned to the group;
"Would you like me to finish the story for you?"
Anna shook her head, "No. I can do it, it's my story. I told him that I wanted nothing to do with his evil life style but he persisted and soon it came to the point where I realized how much I still loved him...and I let him turn me. Because of that I eventually had to lose my family, leave everyone I cared about behind...and all for nothing, I suppose. I haven't seen that supposed man of my dreams in centuries."

"oh wow," Calico breathed in. "That was so romantic of you, but I'm sorry it failed in the end."
"That stinks," was all Jamie responded with.

Anna nodded, "Yeah. Some old vampires I've run into have said they heard he had died, others say he's still in Italy, while others have said that he's somewhere in Asia."

"I hope if I ever fall in love, my love will understand I'm a vampire." Calico said with a dreamy smile. "whoever that may be."
"I'm not worried," jamie grinned,"Girls find me sexy, either way." he tossed his black hair, trying to flirt, but forget he was in bat form.

Anna sighed, "Hopefully...as for me, I don't think I ever will again. I'm not sure I even want to find him again...I think it's better he stay a distant memory."
Raquel rolled her eyes, "Nice try, but I've got higher standards than that."
Madalina glared, "Hey, cool it, Raquel. You're the followers here."

"Higher standards than who?" Calico asked. "Don't date my brother, he's a moron, HEY!" she glared, being pushed off course by her brother.

"Stop fighting, you two!" Madalina glared, then looked down at the earth far below her, "Look! There's another bat down there!"
"Another vampire?" Rubie asked, excited, immediately flying towards it.
"Hey! What did we tell you about flying or walking up to strangers!" Madalina said, catching up with her.
"Leave me alone!" the lone bat barked, it's brown eyes making it look like a natural bat.
"Oh, we are!" Madalina apologized, "I apologize for Rubie, she's a babybat."
