It was a cool fall evening and all over the world, KND agents were getting ready for Halloween. For the KND, it was never too early to get your costume picked out, to map out a plan so that one could get as much candy as possible in record time, or to plan parties with fellow friends for after the houses closed their doors to trick-or-treaters.
However, in one town in rural America, things weren't going as smoothly as planned. In Jingletown USA, unusual things were happening. As agents as well as average residents walked around at night, they often had a strange feeling that they were being followed. Rumors spread of a possible vampire invasion, but the adults laughed it off, telling their kids that there was nothing to worry about, that vampires simply were not real.
Unfortunately, the KND knew this was not true. After all, there was Count Spankulot! There had to be more! The problem was that these other vampires were much harder to detect, for they did not sport a cape and slicked back dark hair; no, they looked like everyone else.
Numbuh 278 stared dreamily out a window of the Sector C treehouse.
"Just think, my dracula may be out there somewhere..." she smiled and laughed as the others gave her an odd look.
"I'm only kidding. I know they're the enemy. If we're lucky, we'll defeat them all before Halloween in three days so that our candy plans are not spoiled." she said, staring down at the large drawn out map they had nearly finished that was spread across their planning table.
Numbuh 278 was an eleven year old girl who had been a KND operative for as long as she could remember. She had green eyes that she lined with eyeliner, much to the dislike of her parents and pale skin that contrasted her black, wavy hair that she messed up with hairspray and put in uneven, high pigtails with diagonal bangs. She wore black nailpolish and a black above-the-knee length skirt along with striped neon green and black tights and black combat boots. She wore a royal purple and black corset and her favorite ring-a spider ring- on her ring finger.
