I have always played Spyro's 2 and 3 to death.
In both games, one of my favourite cheat codes was the "big head" code that makes Spyro look like a bobblehead doll! It also had the advantage of increasing the distance his "normal" flame breath went---comes in handy on the Shady Oasis lamp-theif chase orb challenge!
I also found useful the "all abilities" cheat in Spyro 2---it is best that you enter this code at the start of a new game, and you will know how to swim, climb and head-bash right from the beginning, without having to pay Moneybags and revisit any levels whose orb challenges require the moves. I wish that Spyro 3 had a similar "All Characters" cheat that let you play as Shiela, Sergeant Bird, Bentley and Agent Nine free of charge!
Best of all, in the Spyro games I could:
-Get through 66% of the levels without losing a life. -Get through 50% of the levels (including the first boss) without getting wounded. -Complete each level in Spyro 2 (all talismans, orbs and gems) in ONLY one visit!
Those were good times. I wish I still had the original discs, though.

I've completed StD and RR 100 percent, but I haven't gotten to YotD yet! I should. Those baby dragons are so cute. ^.^
But I also have competed; ANB, TEN, and I have 85 out of a 100 on DotD. I still need to search for some armor and some other gems to power up my health and breaths.
I own Season of Flame on my GBA, and I've gotten over 80 fireflies; only 20 to go! I plan to get Season of Ice for my birthday. I owned AotR but I lost it. Oh well. There's six Spyro games on the GBA; SoI, SoF, AotR, Orange, ANB and TEN.
If you do want one on the GBA, I suggest The Eternal Night. I've heard very good ratings and comments for it on the GBA; it even out-ranked the console versions!
