Now I know how you guys feel about this MHG and Cosmie about all the recent spam around here. I know it's hard to trust newbies these days but I feel that with all the tight security around here lately it's scaring the people who want to join away!
Before I typed in the password when I logged in I decided to see what I can get into without it. I could only get into the Newbie boards and the forum awards.
Heres the thing I was suggesting why not open more boards for them? Like KND question and Answers and Chat and Games? I see no harm in that. I mean alot of the oldbies just say welcome and that's it so the newbies don't really get the chance to know anyone. Open Chat and Games so maybe they can get to know people.
I mean if they are spammers they could easily spam the Newbie board too.
So I figured I'd bring this to everyone's attention and see what everyone thinks.
So tell me what do you think? I think if we give them alittle more freedom we can make a new family around here.

I think that after the newbies have proven they actually like KND after a few posts in the Newbies Discussion thread, they should be given the password. I don't think it calls for a lot of new threads, because they have to be given the password eventually.

Yea, you do have a point. When I get back home(at my grandparents) I could unlock a few boards. Mainly something like KND CHAT or something, and the question and answer boards. However, the RL board WILL always be password protected. I feel it's safest

I don't see anything wrong with opening those three boards up. I think we should leave Main and Other locked a little longer.
Speaking of newbies, we've always had people who signed up and never posted. So I don't necessarily think that tight security is scaring all of them off...but it isn't fair to those who seem interested in this place.

I thought you meant make another Games etc. for the newbies. I think that unlocking them would be a good idea. |
