CHOCOLATE was ho-hum. I was expecting a sci-fi action adventure on Mars. But that's not what we got. We also saw hardly any of Mom & Pop Lincoln.
The villain, who most people figured out as soon as they saw what this episode was called, looked like a chocolate Golem (that's a huge guy made out of clay).
Don't ask me why, but all the solo Abby episodes are...boring. They aren't as good as the others' solo episodes.
The ending wasn't bad. It showed Abby's softer side. She'll even go out of her way for a guy who tried to turn her into chocolate.
I also thought there might be "cannibalism" in this...there were tiny hints...but that would have been too tasteless.
Overall rating: 5/10
MATADOR was much better. We finally get to see Mr. Beetles. How he's involved in this one was out of left field...I didn't see it coming.
This episode also ties into the thing about KND only fighting EVIL adults, not ALL adults. You'll see how.
"I think that there’s a misconception that KND is just about how horrible all adults are. As you’ll see in the upcoming season (he was referring to Season 2), some of the adults, like the kid’s parents, are really nice people. Kids Next Door is about Numbuhs One through Five running around trying to stop a few crazy adults who are trying to control their lives."- from the Fridays fansite
And God, the Soccer Mom was like too many women I see at my son's T-ball games. I told my husband to bury me in my backyard if I ever became like that.
This showed the "tenderer" side of our Wally...and not centering around Kuki.
I mucho enjoyed it!
Rating: 9/10
P. S. There's also a joke about a good use for Nigel's baldness in this one. Look for it!

That's only because he was doped up on coffee.
I'll never get that...I'm one adult who can't stand the stuff. I like Frappucinos and all that, but only once in a while. I have to have flavor and milk in my coffee. And when I was working, I drank hot chocolate instead of coffee.

CHOCOLATE: TEH 2/5EDNESS IN THE END!!!! "As Numbuh 2 would say..." then she said a corny joke. Did we say with 3/4 you act like the ones you love? lol I CAN'T BELIEVE NUMBUH 5 IS PART FRENCH!!! I knew that she was thanks to Mr. W's emails but I couldn't actually believe it. My goodness. And Heinie reminded me of King Mitas. I personally never get tired of the Numbuh 5 eppies. 9/10 MATADOR: I freaked out when I first saw Mr. Beetles. But I love Wally's tender side (w/ no Kooks around ). I was expecting him to say suttin like, "It's me, Wallabee!" But he didn't say his name. Oh well. And I think on the pre-season Matador thread someone said that you see the parent's faces when there is an emotional bond. Whoever said that, you get some more applause!! All righty, I'll probably say suttin more later but I gotta go to another dance competition. I swear I those are my life during the spring. Okay, I'm really off-topic now. Sorry, y'all 8.5/10

CHOCOLATE: Great character development for Abby, seeing her with her whole family and how mom's being there causes her and Cree to hide their anamosity (or attempt to hide it) a bit. The tention between them was very tactile and when Abby actually blames Cree at first for the mess when she got back, it's believable.
We FINALLY have proof that Cree's French. Or at least part french.
Henrich's reappearence reminded me of several Marvel Characters, mainly Ice man and the Thing. It was actualy heartbreaking when it seemed Abby was going to kill him. but heartwarming when she saved him at the last moment and was true to her word about helping him find a cure. Her last moment showing him they were still friends by giving him the cheese burger was the final proof that she still concidered him a friend, even after all they had gone through together, although the pickles gag at the end showed that the friendship was "bitter sweet."
MATADOR was another fantastic character developing episode, probably one of the best numbuh 4 centered ones yet. The whole story behind the bully fights and how they were different from fighting normal evil adults. Wally's need to prove himself a tough guy and doing it only for the sport is just more insite to his character.
The best part was the big surprise. Which was so impactful because it was so unexpected. it really prooved how shocking it was for Wally to see that in a Bully fight the bull can be ANYONE evil or not.
Small things I found great: Abby's nod to Numbuh 2's bad jokes. Kuki's concern about Wally fighting in the Bully fights. The reference to Ernest Hemmingway How Soccer mom really acted like a real obessessed soccer mom.

CHOCOLATE: A bit amusing. I thought it was better than most of the Five-centered episodes, but then again, I am not as attached to Five as a character. Still, the fact that she used Two's tacky jokes deserves quite a mention.
MATADOR: This episode proves something I've always been suspecting of Wally: That he may act tough, but he really cares about the ones he loves. I happen to like how his dad looks. Yeah, he didn't look so good caffiene'd up, but once he got over that, I liked him. Oh, and matador!Four is love.
The ending is quite amusing. "Oh, look! A soccer ball!"

Remember how I promisewd y'all long, elaborate reviews for CHOCOLATE and MATADOR? Well, comin' at ya!
Okay, first CHOCOLATE:
Yes! We finally get to see Numbah 5's mom! Wohoo! It's just odd to picture Numbah 5 French. She seemed more African- American. Anyway, I liked the part where Numbah 5 was collecting Marsmallows.
It looked odd to see the treehouse chocolatized. It looked like, mud, or cinnamon, or something...
And the return of Hippy- Hop! Yay! I was expecting to see it destroyed... but it really wasn't. Darn. >_>
And.... Henrich atually craving a Cheesburger? That's odd... well, cravings are like... uh.... tornadoes. They come without warning.
When Numbah 5 was flying toward the Sun, I thought that Henrich would be revealed when the chocolate melted... but he really HAD fused with the chocolate, like he said.
And, when Henrich was in prison... we got to see a relative of the Crazy Cat Lady and... THE TOILENATOR'S PARENTS?!!? Hm... odd. . _.
And.... A CHEEZE BURGUAH! Yum! But I don't like pickles on them that much either... Oh, well.
Rating: 8.5/10.
...well, my review of MATADOR will come soon.

What i liked about CHOCOLATE is when Abby finaly started to talk like her father. (Cause i think its always funny when he talks) And MATADOR was a good one, even Wally's costume.

Isn't it weird how Numbuh 4's dad's 5 o'clock shadow just sort of appears after they cut back to him? Good episodes, though

Henrich's reappearence reminded me of several Marvel Characters, mainly Ice man and the Thing. Oh, i'm so glad somebody else picked that up. when he started shooting the chocolate out in front of him, i was sooo "omg, BOBBY~?" XD MATADOR had a big old nod to loony toons, though, with the way Four was 'fighting' the grownup in the begining. lots of physical comedy, and some of those gags were lifted right from old bugs bunny cartoons. didn't paticularly enjoy that part, as blatant 'crushed by falling piano' and such humor really isn't my cup of tea. both eps had a good amount of character developement (*loves*) and family-canon (*loves even more*) and a bit about the KND organization (the sciencekids! *squee*), so i liked them both a lot. there was also a fair amount of shipping evidence in them for several different ships, so all the romance fans are probably pretty happy, too.

Numbuh 4's dad was scary with the caffine but it was funny. I liked the time Numbuh 1 was the soccer ball, and Numbuh 4 went up and kicked him.

I think when Kuki was crying she was worried Wally would turn to a bully ( or just a jerk).

What I'm wondering IS...would Abby have said her "s'more" joke if Hoagie was actually there?
Now that[/i] would have made for interesting 2/5ness!
Guess she likes him more than I ever thought. She must be secretly fond of those dumb jokes if she makes one up herself...
