I think the whole thing is rubbish and just another stupid excuse to not look like a moron and have something to talk about when there isn't anything else to talk about besides the weather.
After 12/21/12 passes by, we'll probably end up with an even more ludicrous theory of how the world will end...or something just plain ol' idiotic.

I agree with the above. Apparently there's at least one story of 'the end of the world' in every generation......I've had at least three in this life.

I hear about that so much from my mom and older brother and sister it's not even funny.  I just can't wait to laugh at them when it passes and nothing happens. And if the world does end, I beleive in heaven, so what do I care? XD |

I know this is going to sound strange, even if it happened in a discussion that I'm reading on the Internet a week ago:
I've read that the scienctists are trying to have these two atoms together... and then this black hole is going to come, sucking the Earth into it. Then, the human race will die.

Seriously. Why do scientists have to ruin everything for us? Why can't we just die peacefully during old-age? Instead of suffering? I would love to die during my old-age. Peacefully.

I first learned of this theory from my brother this summer. My opinion? ::)Not again. 2000 all over again. Even Jesus doesn't know when it's supposed to happen. Only God the Father knows the date. My thoughts exactly. |

^Well, I do agree with you, Blahblahblah. I actually do hope it ends... well, non-explosively.
If it did end with explosives everywhere, it would be clitche. They usually do it in Terminator, or other action films.
