Inspired by a convo that LWAP and I had via pm. Since today's generation is harder to entertain, many people have changed our original shows into pure, crapola! XD Here are some show's, in my opinion, that used to be great but now they suck: X[
Blue's Clues- COME BACK STEVE! Well, he left because he was losing his hair, he has cancer. But, look at the show now! It sucks!
Sesame Street- Cookie Monster promoted child obesity, so they replaced him with the 'Veggie Monster'! LAWL
All Grown Up- Wtf is this!? XD WHERE ARE MY AWESOME BABIES IN DIAPERS EATING WORMS AND STEALING COOKIES!?
Spongbob Squarepants- In 1999 when it first debuted, it was good. The new episodes now, suck though. They try hard to be funny, but now it's too stupid to even be funny.
Fairly Oddparents- The original episodes were better, enough said. When baby Poof came along, it went down.

Barney- the Barney of my generation was way, way better. They added two new guys that do not add to anything. Also, the new Barney has a weird voice.
Dragonball Z- It went down the drain when they added the first season of GT. The rest were okay but I still miss the original series. (my brother made me watch it)

I thought Steve died from a drug odose (sp)? Either that or I wasn't paying attention. @sesame street What the crap do you mean they replaced the cookie monster?! D: @agu Even I don't watch Nick anymore, you do have a point. SpongeBobI've been hearing that the new episodes have been sucking lately. @fop Haven't been paying any attention to this either... My parents used to watch the show called The Soporanos, and lots of fans thought the series finale sucked because the main character didn't die. Oo Yeah, I guess it sucked for them. My mom didn't whine about it.. I guess she supported both endings, if either happened. The dude either lived or died. He lived. It had a happy ending, but lots of people were just ticked because they wanted a sad ending. my parents' friend was so ticked about it.

Don't say a word about The Sopranos! I still haven't seen the final season! *puts fingers in ears* Lalalalalalalalala....
The Simpsons is like pro wrestler Shawn Michaels: while still better than 90% of everything out there, its best days are definitely behind it.
I'm probably going to get some heat for this, but Friends got old really fast. The jokes were funny, but the storylines got stupid after the first season. Once Rachel and Ross started acknowledging their feelings for each other, it seemed almost as if the writers had given up and started taking fanfic submissions.

I don't think Cookie Monster got replaced, actually he didn't. It was a stupid internet rumor.
I thought Steve left because he was on drugs or something, and couldn't/didn't want work anymore
All Grown Up was a good show. I liked it.

Heh. I never watched any of those shows (except for Barney).
There is one show that I'm disappointed in: Arthur. Has the voice actor changed, like, three times already? Everytime I see it now, Arthur's voice is completely different. Same with other characters.

On the Sopranos, they threw a bunch of hints that Tony Soprano dies even though the screen blacks out at the end. I haven't seen the last episode, but I've seen a video clip of the ending.
And has anyone seen 24 recently? For some reason, people are saying that the newer episodes are starting to suck.

I can't believe that no one has said this yet, but Power Rangers. I know there are a lot of little kids who really like the show and deserve to watch it but the first few series were the best...that also may be since I was like 7 when they aired but still, the dinosaur-cat- thing is overplayed.

Power Rangers has gone downward, along with Pokemon. There's just too many seasons now, and it's just overkill.

I agree with you on Pokemon Numbuh 724. I used to absolutely love Pokemon, almost in the same way that I love KND , and all my other anime fandoms, obssesively. However, once they got to season five where they were still in Jhoto, and they started to drag out the story plots between filler episodes, then I really quit being a fan of Pokemon.
I completely agree with my friends who are also anime fans that Pokemon should just end production. I mean sure, I'll admit that I think that Dawn and Piplup from Diamond and Pearl are kawai/cute, but the anime has just become to cliche as they follow almost the same formual structure for almost every episode.
As for the Fairly Odd Parents. I used to love that show in the first few seasons when it first came on. But once Butch Hartman got more invovled with Danny Phantom( which is a great show in its own right), and his stamp of approval was no longer there, that's when the show started to go down hill for me. It's not that the style of story writing changed, but more so that characters I had come to know and love had changed drastically.
Tiimy's now an overly smart aleky brat who never learns his lesson, Timmy's parents do nothing but neglect him, Trixie became too stuck up, Vicky became too evil, and Crocker became too fairy obsessed. And out of all of that, the one thing that pissed me off the most, was that they changed the relationship between Cosmo and Wanda. In the earlier seasons, they were still clearly head over heels in love, in spite of how long they had been married to each other. Now they've replaced that with a smart spouse/dumb spouse comedy routine where Cosmo constantly bashes his wife, something he would never had done in the earlier seasons. Oh, and DON"T get me started on School's Out: The Musical.
Well, that's my rant. If I have any more shows I want to comment on, expect me back soon enough.

It seems like if a show has aired too long, it goes downhill.... Like Spongebob, I watched it eight years ago, and now it's like No one has said this yet, but I will... Tom And Jerry: To tell the truth, I LOVE this show, I loved it since I was a very little kid, and even my dad loves it.... But now, the new version has officially pulled the good old version down the drain. I mean, "Tom And Jerry Kids Show"? "Tom And Jerry Tales"? These two new versions stink like......whatever.....I mean, sure they try to be funny, but they're overdoing it so much that it seems more like lame than funny...... What happened to the good old cat chasing the mouse films? Please CN, BRING THEM BACK!!

^ I've never seen the new Tom & Jerry show but I wasn't really a fan of Tom&Jerry Kids. But the movie... is complete awesomeness.
