I noticed that while this forum has a lot of KND-related threads where you can post your opinion, we don't really have any threads about what we think about global warming, abortion, gay marriage, etc. Maybe we could have a special thread for debates, where we could discuss our opinions for a variety of things. It would make the forum more active, especially for those who don't really have an interest for KND anymore, and as long as the debates are watched carefully for any flaming or yelling, then I don't think it's really a bad idea.

A thread is fine, but, a actual section nah. I think while it seems like a nice idea, it could cause alot of flames. reminds me of the BBQ pit.

Yeah debating about a sensitive issue is kinda risky. But debates about a policy or something less sensitive can be good.

Not necessary, only because we already have Other Main and Real Life. That's where debate topics wind up.
ETA: Ugh, the BBQ Pit. Not one of the forum's better ideas, and I played a big part in letting it get that way. Shouldn't have taken personal issues with another member that far.

Alright, it's just something I thought I'd throw out there.
Is it okay if I make a debate topic? Not a thread, like I originally suggested, just a thread on a certain issue. My ELP class was talking about abortion, and I wanted to make a poll on it or something. But if I shouldn't, then it's okay.
