The only things people do here are some of the lame fourm games and talk about couples. and it's always the same. This place is starting to get filled with immature kids, and all the good members are leaving. D: That's a pretty rude thing to say. I can think of a lot of new members that aren't immature kids, so it's really unfair just to assume that that everybody here is bad.

It's always like this when a show stops. the fandom kinda.......don't have stuff to talk about anymore.. And I think sometimes it's just common interest. Ofcourse it's easier to talk about couples. It's harder to do research on something about the show. How many here can honestly say they're interested to talk/know more about the Decommissioning Squad? I am, but what do I do alone, write a research paper about it? I admit I play forum games to get my post counts. But this place's ranking system is much higher than any other places anyway. An option is to simply don't allow post count increase in off topic posts. Well I'm saddened when the reality hits me, that the show is.......well...........(damn I hate using this word) dying. Sorry to act like an angsty teen, but I start to question myself how much longer will I be able to stay in the fandom. Very true. When anything ends, most people tend to cling to the old and familiar. The couples have been around since the begining and humans are more inclined to romance then most things. Sorry that you feel that way but you may be right. It does have some truth to it and on a different note.... I have to say that a paper on the decommsioning squad does sound riveting. I've been curious for a while.

You weren't here to meet D-ologist, or Beckie, or the 800 page roleplays we did on saturdays. You don't remember th GOOD fourm games like fourm coupling, and the orgional ask stupid questions. You dont remember the pet fluffles, or anything like that.

I know about Fluffles, I read the Wall of Shame. And just because most of us weren't around for that stuff doesn't make us "immature".

I didn't mean that you were immature for not knowing who they were. This fourm has gone downhill. Reading the wall of shame does nothing. You weren't here for the memories, you didn't experience the "family" this fourm used to be. It used to be there were like, 300 people, and everyone posted regulary, and it was fun. There were rp's update every five minutes,(literally) not comming on a day, would make you feel So left behind. Everyone knew everyone. You knew who they were and what their status was on the fourm. You knew that Stardrifter was the mod,Sammeh was our fourm's "unoffical" pimp, D-ologist was our fourm smart person, me, the crazy slasher, there was Beckie, me, Kimi the American idiots, and everyone knew that, you just knew everyone and everyone's place. This fourm used to be such a tight family. You would really get to know everyone. Now, half the people can't even form decent sentences, and were like, 7 when the start of KND came on. Now you can't even get decent romance topics. It's either 3/4,1/5,2/5 or 1/362 etc. There's no variety. There used to be thousands of topics for anyone looking for crack couples, or serious slash, or anything. This fourm is becomming so narrow minded. If a 1/5 fan goes into a 2/5 thread, it's like fourm war. Thats how immature it is becomming. If some oen hates 3/4 it's like this:"OMG SOMEONE DOESNT LIKE 3/4! " its lacking alot latly. I'm really only staying because I'm a mod, and this place is still close to me, even if half the people i liked are gone.

Hey, I'm sorry that this forum isn't what it used to be. I truly am, because it sounded like ya'll had some good times around here. But it's not like that anymore. And you're making it sound like this place is dead, and it's not.
What are you talking about? Didn't you say that this place is becoming inactive?

Can you show me some examples of the narrow-mindedness you're talking about? Really, I wanna know. Because all active 3/4 supporters are open-minded. But to you, they aren't. You're referring to past PWs.

Wow it's kinda hard to imagine such a tight forum family. First of all because I've never been into a tight one before. Second is because I often find great fandoms after the show's finished.
I start to have this feeling much like an elf in Lord of the Rings would, like how they dream of glory long past, or heard of the great empire that the elf one possessed, now in ruins.
It's a shame, but I suppose there's no use sulking about it.

I can definitely understand what a lot of people are saying. Myself, I'm 28 years old, and I love cartoons. There's a lot of stuff about KND that I've come to love, and that I always will. But I find it pretty rare that I'm comfortable expressing my opinions about things on the show, because, well, I'm just not in the same place as the majority of the people on the forum. I'm experiencing the show from a different perspective, seeing things that many other people aren't because they aren't as old as I am, and essentially, it causes me to post rather infrequently.
That isn't to say that I think people on the forum are bad or something. I'm just reiterating that, well, I tend to practice my fandom on my own because there are few others I can share it with at my own level. I've never really left this forum, but I've been on it for a long time now and still don't have all that many posts. I try only to post when I have something worthwhile to say. And I haven't felt like I've had much to add lately. That's why I don't really log in very often.

Hey again. I said I was gone, but I read a few of these posts and have a few things to say.
About the couples discussions, I find it true that you can't discuss too much without it being repetitive or boring. Look what happened to the 2/5 thread. We always went off-topic, but we were like a family.
Which brings me to my next point: Most of my KND family has gone off. They all have their own things going on, and I'll have mine. My life has been on sort of hiatus for a while, because I've been raising kids, as most of the long-timers here know. That's going to change very soon, so like I said, I won't have enough time for this place.
Like Lord M, I'm a much older cartoon fan--heck, I have 9 years on him! I can't relate to a lot of the things being discussed here. I'm way beyond those kinds of discussions. This isn't a slam on anyone. It's just the vast age difference between me and most of the forum.
I really and truly miss the golden days of the Samurai. But those days are gone. It was inevitable once everyone knew the show was ending. It made, and still makes, me sad. I miss our stories, roleplays, alter egos, discussions, mango smoothies ;D, etc., on into infinity. I know it's not going to come back. So there was really no point in me staying, even though I was a mod.
I can't get into this new stuff about Pokemon, fanfiction timelines, and the forum's new interests.
So rather than get bored and start picking at them, which is silly and pointless...I signed off.
And now I'm signing off for good.

I agree with hoagiegal said. It's been a great 6 years for knd but sometimes you have to move on. I joined here about the end of 06 and I really did enjoy it here where everything was really nice and no flame wars. But now, I'm seriously thinking about leaving here since most of the members who were here before left. Plus I also hanging at the ghostbusters fandom more and more.

I'm getting teary here LOL I miss the Family I dont know any of these new people. I remember when me and Desslok used to update Married Life like 8 times a day I havent spoken to him in a month! Father/362 used to be funny. I remember the Resort what ever happened to that? I agree This place is DEAD Sorry to the new members but your kinda....Boring I mean this forum needs a new generation of "Family" and nobody is dedicated enough to try. This Forum has done ALOT for me it got me with MarioStar and we've been together for over a year. You guys need to make memories and learn to consider each other as family. We oldbies had the chance to be a family you newbies need that chance to so make it happen.
