I just heard that Meet The Spartans sucked. It was just a long random skit or something. I havent seen the movie, but after hearing how it sucked I don't think I really need to. Like Epic Movie, it's probably that see once, you never need to see it again type movie.

Date Movie, Scary Movie, Epic Movie, Meet the Spartans.. they're all the same. They're all a bunch of guys who think they've got some funny jokes and are on a low budget.

Scary Movie sucked a good deal because it was a parody of a parody. It made jokes about Scream while Scream was a parody of slashers in general. And that was actually funny/scary. A little scary, but near the end, it just got funny.

I hate parody movies, but then I also loathe toilet humor. It grosses me out, and there's usually a lot of those in these kinds of movies. A friend of mine was telling me how the "Pit of Death" scene in Meet the Spartans goes on for 10 minutes (probably an exaggeration, but apparently that's what it felt like). And I agree with Suki....you just can't parody Scream, because they poke fun at the genre at the same time as making a good movie (Hehee...."Are you gonna call the cops?" "You bet your sweet ***!" "Oh, man, my mom and dad are gonna be so mad at me....."). I tried watching Date movie and then got grossed out and just..had to change it.
I'm not sure what movies I want to see...I'm tempted to see The Eye, but then horror movies that are just recycled scripts from Japan usually aren't that good (the Japanese version's always better...)

That's because Japan doesn't mind keeping the scary stuff. Kinda like Italy doesn't mind keeping nudity for BOTH genders.
Not that I've seen any Italian horrors, but I read the reviews.

I want to see Superhero! It comes out in March, and it's supposedly a parody of super hero movies. It sounds funny and it has Drake in it, that's a plus

I can think of only 5 superhero movies offhand. Spiderman, Superman, Fantastic Four, X-men, and Daredevil. Not sure that's enough to have developed a reasonably solid set of cliches that can be made fun of. Unless they were truly awful.

There's also Ghost Rider and The Punisher. Oh, and the Hulk.
I wanna see that Be Kind, Rewind movie. Looks kinda funny.

Ghost Rider isn't a superhero movie. It's a travesty. Or a tragedy. Maybe both.

Meh, if it's done like Meet the Spartans, it will suck the meat missile. If it was done like Airplane!, The Naked Gun, Young Frankenstein, Spaceballs, Robin Hood: Men in Tights, or even Walk Hard (hilarious spoof of Walk the Line), it should be clever.

It looked fantastic in the trailer. Gory and exciting at the same time. Perfect.
Oh. Hehe. That eyelid thing took me back to Johnny Depp in the second Pirates film. When I YouTube'd the movie trailer, I didn't expect it to be a comedy. Heck, The Ruins came to mind.
