Well, not seriously since I don't have the power. Still, I've seen lately many n00bs who are acting like... like... Well, they're basically ticking people off with their bashing or flaming, having no concept of spelling and grammar, or consistently breaking minor rules like needless multi-posting. Seriously now, look at several threads lately. Not only are they pissing other folks off with what they do, but they give "normal" newbies a bad reputation... this happens in many forums, unfortunately. I wonder if they read the FAQs at all. I wonder if they even know of its existence.
Some examples are some folks who multi-post frequently. I don't mean multi-posting because of server error or some other reason... that would be when the second post is the exact same thing as the original post, and would usually be posted at the same time. I'm talking about multi-posting as in one post saying something, then 1-3 minutes later they post another to say some other one-liner, then another minute later they reply to someone, et cetera. (BTW, that would be when no one is replying in between theirs, you literally see four of their posts in a row; otherwise it wouldn't be multi-posting.)
Then there are those who come into a thread, say something about how stupid or "pathetic" something is (*cough*lookatsomeromancepairingthreads*cough*), then leave without telling why. Oh, we can't forget the obligatory dozen smilies and exclamation points, can't forget those. As if it's supposed to make us laugh and say "you're absolutely right, we suck so bad and you are 100000% correct, thank you so much for telling us, by the way you're hilarious."
Well, I'm sorry you people guilty of the above paragraph, but I have a startling revealation for you. You are not funny. You are not clever, you are not witty. You are just. Not. Funny. If we did laugh it would probably be because we're laughing at your... unacceptable amount of sense, or what little thereof. In reality we'd actually be annoyed or angry.
Now I won't call them out by linking the threads... yet. Depends on my mood or what happens after this is posted. But this really needs to stop, or at least lessen. I think the FAQ thread needs to be cleaned. Start it out fresh with updated current questions and answers and maybe even new ones. I know some rules in that thread (and any new ones that may be added) should be common sense, but unfortunately the people I'm talking about seem to either lack it or intentionally not using it.
And yes, I am well aware some stuff I said would be taken as insults, but they might not listen if I were nice about it. And they stuff they do isn't nice, anyway.
