Random translation question: what does "desu" mean? It can mean good or well, and is used after explaining your mood and introducing yourself. Ex: Watashi wa Alexis desu. Meaning: My name is Alexis. Or for mood: Ogenki desu ka? (How are you?) Genki desu! Anata wa? (Good! And you?)

Nihongo ka? :3 Atashi wa sukoshi no Nihongo wakaru desu. ...the grammar there was probably horrible. ^^; But I've been teaching myself Japanese (the internet is a wonderful place, people) for about 3 years now. I'm in an exchange program so now I get LESSONS! SCORE! I'm literate in hiragana and katakana, but most kanji frightens me. o.O Nihon no koto ga daisuki desu yo ne? >X3
