It depends on what I think of while I'm listening to a song. The song itself doesn't make me cry; it's just the thoughts going through my head, most of the time going to the music.

I think I cry while listening to songs BECAUSE of thoughts of KND........ I cried while listening to "Teardrops on My Guitar".... ....because I heard it just after watching Op. Girlfriend..... I cried while listening to "Bye-bye"..... .....because it riminded me of Op. INTERVEIWS..... I cried while listening to "Bu Zai Chang" (Not Here) by SHE.... .....because it reminded me of Nigel....

Holy crap I love that song! When the first time I heard it, I instantly fell in love with it. Okay, this song makes me feel sad because at the game, it WAS sad... But it's very, very beautiful: www.youtube.com/watch?v=FU6VwbOuU7I

"It Is Well" must eb the saddest song in the world. No, actually, the song is solemn but hopeful and joyful; it's the story behind it, how the author lost all four of his daughters in a single boat accident, a few years after losing his son, that's heratbreaking.
The only other song that's ever made me cry -- sob and blow my nose and feel like my heart's breaking -- it Jon Bon Jovi's "August 7, 4:15." Also written for a true story, in tribute to an employee's 6-year-old daughter who was murdered. The killer still hasn't been found.
"The deputies went door to door, through all the neighborhood. They said, I got some news to tell you folks. I'm afraid it ain't so good. Somehow something happened. Someone got away. Someone's got the answers for what happened here today. ... ... ... Tell me it was just a dream! August 7, 4:15...
I'm tearing up just thinking about it.

If I'm in the right mood, just about any song can make me cry. But, in particular:
"The Trapeze Swinger" by Iron & Wine "I Will Follow You Into the Dark" by Death Cab For Cutie "Breathe (2AM)" by Anna Nalick "Broken" by Seether "The Scientist" by Coldplay "Where'd You Go" by Fort Minor
There are more, but that's all I can think of right now.

Woa, did my post get deleted just for joking? Or maybe I didn't post here and just think I did. Weird. I guess one song that always really touched me was "My Tiger, My Heart" which is basically about growing apart from a close friend, and it reminds me of Calvin and Hobbes. And the song in my signature, "The story of an Artist" that's such a sad song to me. :'[

"When Somebody Loved Me" never fails to make me cry because of a loss I had. T__T It's a great song, but I can't even bear listen to it anymore.

New songs I cried over: "Far Away" by Nickleback. I don't know why..... I was listening to the "American Top 40" when Ryan Seacrest (is that how he's name is spelt? ) played this song as a request from someone who said that this song was "her wedding song". And then, while listening to the song, I just cried, with no idea why. Also, although it's only a soundtrack, I cried over "Define Dancing", a Wall.E OST: It's really beautiful and sad, even if you don't like Wall.E, I strongly urge to hear it.And "Fixing Wall.E" Bacause it was played at the most touching parts of the movie....
