It would have been called "Freeware Funfest" but that name was used in another forum.
As the title suggests, here we link to freeware games that we liked or recommend to play. It can be of any genre. Just a few things, though:
1. Tell us a bit about the game. Summary, genre, rating and its reason (E, Teen for cussing, MA for blood/gore, etc.), filesize... things like that. One or two or more screencaps help, too; people would want an idea of what they're getting into. ^^
2. It has to be able to work on modern operating systems, which most people would have now. If you have to go out of your way to get some '95 or dos-based game to work (downloading a buncha programs or changing your system settings, etc.) just for that game, I wouldn't recommend linking to it.
Happy linking! (And happy playing!) Maybe I'll provide a few of my own.

I wonder if Flash game counts, I'm sure it is. Well, the official cartoon sites like those from Nickelodeon & CN are kinda fun. But not to compare Flash games that consists of stick figures.

www.harveycartel.org/metanet/downloads.htmlThis game is called N. It's an addictive platformer game made by Metanet Software. I suppose it's suitable for all audiences, but there's blood. Although it's really unrealistic blood, like in Worms, so it isn't really much of a problem. Everything you'll need to know is in the site. However, it isn't a browser game, it's downloadable, and it's about 1-2 MB in size. But it has highscores and an in-built level editor.

Hmmmm...I suggest this... Sonic Robo Blast 2Very simple game, a 2.5d Sonic Game. E I have no idea on the file size since I downloaded it so long ago...but it downloaded on this comp rather quickly. Oh and if you want more characters go to the forum listed on the page and download them to add them to the story mode just type "addfile <insertcharacterfilename>.wad" in the console. Which is accesed by pushing "ESC" and then "~" on the main screen.

Eversion~(Windows, 8.2MB, free) - Another 2D platformer with a twist, this one casts you in a colorful world with happy graphics, bouncy music, and smiling blocks to brighten your way as you collect gems scattered throughout the land. Oh, and then there are "eversion spots", places you can stand and switch the game from normal to slightly more creepy mode where some of the game's objects change, such as clouds becoming solid. Use both modes to collect all of the gems in each world... A really enjoyable game, that I adore playing so much~ I recommend ye do so too~

I was about to mention Sonic Robo Blast 2, then I noticed King Bowser Kuppa's post... BUT, I feel it's worth mentioning again, as the game was and still is a work in progress. There has been a large update released for the game since Kuppa's post, for example. The games content has gone from 9 single player levels to 16, that is, without counting the numerous secrets hidden in the game. (Good luck with finding Neo Aerial Garden Zone)

I know that this is from more than a year ago, but I second this recommendation. I even made a music video of me dying on level 6, over and over and over. Why is this thread stickied? It's no more important than any other thread.
