One of the oldest and most-loved Marvel creations has been killed in what is apparently the last issue that hit the stands today. It was kind of a cheap way of doing it too, as he was just shot by a sniper. The story was picked up on several places: www.msnbc.msn.com/id/17499797/movies.msn.com/movies/article.aspx?news=254264>1=7701Unlike Superman, who was reborn, I can't see them bringing Steve Rogers back to life. If anything, they may have someone new don the suit. Probably in a year or so, someone else will take over the Captain America role.

It would amaze me if they decided that patriotism was "too oldschool" and replaced Captain America with Captain Earth or something like that.

Or maybe they'll replace him with someone named Captain Planet. Oh wait, there's already one of those.

One rumor I've heard is that Frank Castle, aka The Punisher, will become the next Captain America.
